Hostess and staff think that being rude is in.... Hate complaining but took a group of 5 couples to Rialto after a show. Took a while to get in, which was reasonable, but after sitting down we had a none existent waiter and a hostess that pretty well offended everyone in our group to the point that we left before ordering. Would not recommend for groups over 4 people unless they enjoy getting insulted and poor service.
American comfort food served in a historic building near the 16th Street Mall..
In Short
The decor here uses a lot of wood and features a large bar, recalling the tradition of old Denver balanced against an atmosphere of modern elegance. Worthy entrees include steak andshrimp Diane as well as the cassoulet of lamb with beef, chicken and pork in a white-bean casserole with duck confit. Other highlights: sugar-cured pork chops, herb-roasted chicken, pan roasted-salmon, and several excellent pastas.
Good American Fare. While the food won't win any awards for creativity, it is consistently good. The proportions are large and the price is reasonable. The service is great and I plan to go back to Rialto for many more meals. Avoid the chili- it is consistently off, but many of the other menu items are great!
Great Happy Hour. I first started going to Rialto for the great & cheap happy hour. Now I go for lunch several times a month thanks to the Warm Roasted Chicken Salad. It is excellent!
yet again. Yet another restuarant where the food is average but the service is less than desirable. It was my boyfriend's birthday and the server could have cared less. Plus, I have severe dietary restrictions and the server pretended he knew what we were talking about and then proved to have no clue (recommending things to me that I could not eat after I described what I meant!!!!). After waiting tables for many years, service is the most important thing and this place was not even near par. Would not recommend for veggies or vegans. Nor birthdays.
Highly recommended. The Happy Hour has to be the best downtown! Great $3. martinis and also a wonderful $3. food menu. The patio is great for people watching and the staff is very attentive and friendly. I've always had a great time there.
Excellent Place for Friendly Dining. I have been to the Rialto Cafe several times now for food and drinks. Each and every time I found that the service was not only friendly and helpful, but timely and efficient. This is really hard to come by these days. The food has been excellent each and every time. Their Sunday brunch is fabulous and offers a bloody mary buffet as well. Overall, I think the Rialto Cafe is a great place and I will be back to visit again and again.
Getting Better. Not sure what is changing here, but something is. Used to be the place you go because the bartender will give away free drinks to anyone whose name she knows. All regulars at the bar... but now, the food is better, the service is getting better, and they have realized that you have to be nice and friendly these days to get people to come back. We had salads, entrees, wine and killer desserts for under 100$. Nice.
Made for a wonderful Anniversary!.
Food was amazing!
Quiet little corner. Great wine recommendations. Felt like a star!
Excellent Breakfast!. I had a wonderful experience! I service was over the top and my Omlette and Bloody Mary were delicious. I will be back!
