What People Are Saying About Sports Column

In Short – This place is one big room crammed with boisterous fans. Big-screen TVs flicker everywhere except the bathrooms. The bar serves a full menu, including burgers and other usual bar favorites, but many people come just for the atmosphere on big-game days. Customers don jerseys and wear their hearts (and spilled ketchup) on their sleeves. Beer is always available, of course, and can be enjoyed on the patio upstairs during spring and summer.

Fun Place but Watered Down Drinks

by toomuchstuff

Two friends and I went to the Sports Column to watch the baseball game (we had tickets for the following day). We are all female and had several drinks without feeling a thing. We then did shots, I had 5... more than I've ever had before and bearly felt tipsy. BAD!!!

  • Pros: Good crowd, good service, nice place to watch sports
  • Cons: Mixed drinks were definately watered down... stick with beer

Best Sports Bar in Town!

by Sportsfan1234

This is the best sports bar in town. They cater to all teams and make everyone feel welcome. They have been around forever and have won numerous awards. The one thing they do well is keep out the jerks and rowdies to make your stay more enjoyable. Sure the service is not 100% ALL the time but I have never been anywhere where it is. And I would never wait 2 hours if I had to get to a game, I would have left or asked for a manager in 15 minutes.

  • Pros: Service, specials, atmosphere
  • Cons: Busy

If your not from denver....

by rootslovah

We're from LA and we flew out to watch a Dodger vs. Rockie game at 110pm. We went to the game and then decided to find a sports bar to watch the Lakers play the Nuggets. I have been to many bars here and in other states to watch games and have met many different fans, but at this bar we were warned for cheering for the Lakers "too loudly" and "bringing too much attention to ourselves" i found it odd that when i asked the owner (who was the one who told us this) if he was going to tell all the other fans in the bar the same thing. He said no, welcome to Denver. This would have been fine had our friend sitting next to us been included in this reprimanding, but alas, he was white and nothing was said to him. Me and my cousin, who is also mexican, were asked to leave because we were "too intoxicated". The sad thing is that we had only had 1 beer and a shot each. When they asked us to leave half of the bar stood up for us and said that we were doing nothing wrong. ALL OF THEM DRESSED IN COLORADO TEAM GEAR!!! I would avoid this bar at all costs and go to Lodos or drink with one of the many hobos Denver has roaming the streets, as it will be a way more fun time!

  • Pros: Some hot waitresses
  • Cons: Everything else
