Won't be returning – I went to this bar last weekend for the UFC fight. The cocktail waitress ignored us for the first twenty minutes we were there. When she finally asked me and my girlfriend what we would like, she was rude and acted as if we were bothering her. It took another twenty minutes to get our first drink's. When we finally did, I wasn't returned my change. This place is a joke and I'll never go again!!! Poor service and over-priced drinks!!!!

Great Place to watch the game – This place has it all, decent food, great service, rooftop patio! Any game you can imagine is viewable at the Column. Not my style on weekends, but the talent is fantastic. A great destination for their lunches or for Rockies home games. Fun and friendly staff. I've never had a bad time at the Sports Column.

Bathroom issues... – I have always liked Sports Column because of the prices and service. The bar tenders are nice and the usually sport fan crowd are my kind of people. Before my latest experience I would have given this bar a solid 4 star rating, but sadly, I can not longer ignore a few basic problems.

First off, I would say I fall into the normal category of public bathroom users. Above all, I value my privacy. Of course I also want a bathroom that has been cleaned and stocked with soap and paper towel, but what I really want is to go about my business (get in, get out).

The problem with Sports Column is they have a bathroom attendant. This is fine, but IMHO totally unnecessary. This is not a 4 star hotel. This is a sports bar. Yes this ensures that the bathroom is clean and well stocked, (he's got mints and cologne in addition to soap and paper towel) but because the man has a tip jar I see patrons who would otherwise wash their hands bolt for the door to skip out on tipping. Or perhaps more awkward, using his services and not tipping. I'm not a germaphobe, but I would rather use a bathroom where people are washing their hands then one that spotless, and no one is washing their hands. It's an impossible situation, the attendant holds the soap and paper towel in-hand so you have to reach out to him in order to wash your hands. There are times when I have tipped and times when I simply had no cash or was not in the tipping mood. But I have always washed my hands. I've been friendly, but I have always felt weird about the situation. I shutter to think of using the stalls for a prolonged stay knowing the guy is in standing there, within earshot of everything.

OK. not too big of deal, right? But, this is just part of the problem. The last time I was there I resolved to avoid the situation completely. My smug self convinced me that I would simply not make a trip to the bathroom. As the night went on I found that this strategy simply wasn't panning out. If you have to go, you have to go.

It was shortly after last call when I really needed to go. As I walked over to the bathroom, I saw a man coming out and a another going in. The door was open enough during this time to where I could see with relative certainty that the attendant was not working that evening! I minor bonus, but all that really mattered was that I was going to be able to use the bathroom. Or was I?

I arrive at the door tailing another guy who looks like he has to use the bathroom as much as I do, when a "security" guard from the back comes running up and side steps in front of us to inform us that the bathroom is closed.

Fun Place but Watered Down Drinks – Two friends and I went to the Sports Column to watch the baseball game (we had tickets for the following day). We are all female and had several drinks without feeling a thing. We then did shots, I had 5... more than I've ever had before and bearly felt tipsy. BAD!!!

Best Sports Bar in Town! – This is the best sports bar in town. They cater to all teams and make everyone feel welcome. They have been around forever and have won numerous awards. The one thing they do well is keep out the jerks and rowdies to make your stay more enjoyable. Sure the service is not 100% ALL the time but I have never been anywhere where it is. And I would never wait 2 hours if I had to get to a game, I would have left or asked for a manager in 15 minutes.

If your not from denver.... – We're from LA and we flew out to watch a Dodger vs. Rockie game at 110pm. We went to the game and then decided to find a sports bar to watch the Lakers play the Nuggets. I have been to many bars here and in other states to watch games and have met many different fans, but at this bar we were warned for cheering for the Lakers "too loudly" and "bringing too much attention to ourselves" i found it odd that when i asked the owner (who was the one who told us this) if he was going to tell all the other fans in the bar the same thing. He said no, welcome to Denver. This would have been fine had our friend sitting next to us been included in this reprimanding, but alas, he was white and nothing was said to him. Me and my cousin, who is also mexican, were asked to leave because we were "too intoxicated". The sad thing is that we had only had 1 beer and a shot each. When they asked us to leave half of the bar stood up for us and said that we were doing nothing wrong. ALL OF THEM DRESSED IN COLORADO TEAM GEAR!!! I would avoid this bar at all costs and go to Lodos or drink with one of the many hobos Denver has roaming the streets, as it will be a way more fun time!

The worst service – Before I even got through the doors, there was a big bouncer barking for my ID. I thought he was greeting my family and me, boy was I wrong. After being seated, we waited for our server to get done conversating with her fellow employees. All in all, our quick before the game dinner, turned into almost 2 hours of waiting. We were late to the game because of bad service. The place was not even busy.

Every time I try to give this place a shot, I’m quickly reminded why I hate this place. The people are so rude, and the servers are not good.

Unemployed – The story below could not be farther from the truth. The Sports Column offers great customer service and the managers make sure of it. Ask any employee there and they will tell you that the owner is a stickler for customer service. Although I did have words with this customer, and for this I was terminated, it is a shame that anyone could sign up on here and tarnish the reputation a business has worked so hard to get. You cannot please everybody all of the time and the customer IS NOT always right. I wish people had to wait tables before they were allowed to eat in a restaurant and then they might see what we have to deal with and what we get paid $4 to do. We are all human and we do make mistakes! This is the type of person that is looking for a handout and that you probably wouldn't be able to please no matter how hard you tried.

Worst service ever – While meeting with me brother at the bar for the UFC fight my brother and his friend were drinking beer. I came about 8 p.m. and my brother offered to pay for my two drinks about 9 p.m. We were VERY nice to the waitress (Becca) she was very rude and threw the bill onto our table (did not thank us or even ask if we were still drinking). We were not tabing out simply paying for our drinks separately. My brother because of her attitude only tipped 10%. She grabbed the bill looked at it in front of us shook her head and got very upset. The next time she was near our table I VERY politely asked if she would get us more drinks ant that I would pay for them and tip better. She started to walk away and said, "get your f&#$ing drinks at the bar". I told her I wanted to see he manager and she ignored me. I asked again and she said, "I don't give a sh&t who you tell." pointed out her manager and said, "he won't do anything, go ahead." After speaking to the manager she came over to us and started attacking me again. Telling me that my brother was cheap and that she wouldn't serve us. Her manager simply said he would talk to her, did not apologize or get us anymore drinks. She, for the next hour pointed us out to other customers and mummered insults under her breathe. Never will I go to this bar again
