Whenever I go here, I usually have a good time. Comedy Works is fun, I enjoyed the Improv when I went there, that was a great time too.

Denver's premiere comedy club, Comedy Works, is THE place to go in the Mile High City for laughs. It consistently books the best comics week in, week out that will keep you rolling in the aisles. Tons of great drinks and good eats too at fair prices. I've been going to comedy shows since the 90's (wow, that makes me sound old!) and Comedy Works is my favorite venue. I can't recommend it highly enough, don't miss out if you are visiting from out-of-town or if you live here, what have you been waiting for? Head downtown for a fun night of drinking and laughing.

Comedy Works for laughter and fun. I love Comedy Works, it's soo much fun, I've been going there alot, Jamie Kennedy, Dave Foley, Adam Cayton Holland, and all the others I've seen made me laugh alot, and I also got to meet them, the food was the best, including the Sweet Potato Puffs, the other thing I like about Comedy Works is when the person fills out a comment form, and have a chance of having their name picked and winning prizes, including free tickets. Everybody who works there at Comedy Works is soo helpful and nice! Also, it costs $4 for Comedy Works attendees to to park at Writer Square's parking garage! Sometimes I get a call and get discount tickets too! I It's one of my most favorite places, I would recommend it to anybody who loves comedy!!

Laugh til you cry. I have recently been to two shows at Comedy works, The Sklar Brothers and Loripalooza. Both times I had so much fun I laughed until I cried. The food was comparable to other comedy clubs, but the drinks were awesome! Sure they were a little expensive, but my tuaca apple cider was not only strong but also delicious! Well worth the money! The seats were a little tight but I am small and it never really bothered me.The parking was a little expensive but I found out after the show that Comedy Works attendees get a discount at Writer Square. Also I hear Comedy Works in DTC has free parking so its not a huge deal! Overall I had an amazing time, both times and I look forward to going back in the future!

Good Experience. I went to my first Comedy Works show this week. With all the bad reviews on every site I went in with low expectations but wanted to see a really good comic. I came out loving the show and the venue. I had a great time and will keep going back for many other shows. I experienced a small amount of complaints i heard but they did not deter me from having a great time and enjoying the evening and the comic!

Comedy Works after nearly 30 years better than ever. Carlos Mencia kills last Wednesday night with a 3 hour set that could have gone on longer. That show is the best I have ever seen there and I have been seeing them there since the Works was at Basins Up almost 30 years ago. Denver is blessed to have such a room that brings the talent and desire from comedy geniuses to do shows like this, and on a Wednesday? Wendy thank you for keeping a true Denver jewel thriving!

Funny Business. This place is great! I have been numerous time, and the company that I work for is even considering having our holiday party there! I have been to about three shows downtown, and just recently went to one at their Landmark location. The vibe is totally different at each club, but they are equally as impressive and entertaining. The South location is opening a new restaurant, and I hear that it is supposed to be really something. I cant wait to check it out:) This is the best place for comedy anywhere in Denver, and it is obvious that the comics love to perform at these venues!

Please Read This Before You Go!. The reason you see that nearly all the reviews are either one star or five stars has to be because the staff is trying to counteract the customers, I think. Very very disappointing night. I expect a night out at a venue like this to be a little overpriced, but this was absurd. The two drink minimum didn't deter me at first but when I saw the drink prices for even watery bottom of the barrel domestics I was shocked. Still, ticket prices weren't terrible, so I settled in to enjoy the show but couldn't due to near constant harassment by our extremely rude waitress who was clearly used to people trying to get out of the drink minimum because she was defensive and insulting from the first conversation. We missed a good portion of the show just trying to get her to wait until we finished our first round before ordering our second. Management repeatedly was seen and heard hassling or pulling out crowd members near us who, as far as we could figure out, were simply enjoying the show or trying to climb out to go to the bathroom. Weird. I signed up for this site just to publish a review for this venue, so what does that tell you? Much better venues around town exist, don't waste your money or more importantly, your time.

You Guys Are CRAZY!. Reading some of these past reviews makes me think that no one is out to have a good time! I recently went to Comedy Works with my boyfriend and was very pleased by everything. We took the light rail down, so we didn't have to pay for parking and could enjoy ourselves without the worry. If you get drinks any where they are not going to be less than a dollar, I thought they were very reasonably priced. I liked the dark and intimate setting of the show, and the closeness allowed me to snuggle with my bf and/or meet some new people (however you want to look at it)!! Our wait staff was very attentive, and everyone was happy, laughing and having an all around good time.

I found it more rewarding to spend $50 for two people with 4 drinks to see a great live comedian, than going to a movie and not having half the thrill...
