Tattered Cover Book Store is an independent community bookstore, serving Denver's readers for over thirty-four years. The Tattered Cover offers an extraordinary selection of titles in three metro-Denver locations, and a free special event nearly every day. With lots of nooks and crannies offering the intimacy of a smaller bookshop, and an ample supply of sofas and chairs, readers are sure to feel at home. Above all browsers are encouraged to linger for as long as they like. Each store offers a coffee bar with many tempting treats and a well-stocked newsstand.

Now more than 30 years old, the Tattered Cover is legendary and beloved for its service and stock--it carries more than half a million books. This landmark is a model of how an independent can compete with chain stores. Between all the stores, there are more than 600 author readings and children's storytimes a year. Like a small-town library, this gigantic (but not overpowering) store has dozens of places where you can disappear.

Tattered Cover is awesome and really huge. They have such a nice comfortable setting for such a huge place. Tattered Cover has so much that you will need a few hours at least.

This cultural Denver icon is an attraction to popular Authors. When people think of books in Denver it's associated with Tattered Cover.

I have to give credit to this book store. My kids grew up in the one in CC. I hope everyone supports this bookstore, they are a Denver Icon. They staff is wondeful, and it feels like home.
