Hello?. The location moved in 2007 another area entirely! The architecture of the new building is cutting edge and the view from the rooftop cafe are amazing. This is the perfect space for a new start, which Adam Lerner, the new director, is leading. I will admit that the $10 admission fee is a bit steep and that the staff is just a wee but pretentious, but overall, you'd be missing out on the next stage of art in Denver if you didn't consider visiting the MCA Denver.
Horrible Experience. The worst experience at a museum! There were snide remarks from the staff at the cafe. No parking, which is typical of downtown Denver. There was no map for any of the exhibits. The staff was incredibly rude! Skip this one.
Cutting-edge of the Museum of Contemporary Art slices through the conservative and the comfortable with world-class exhibitions..
In Short
This ultrahip space opened in 1999, after more than three years of planning by community leaders, area artists and art supporters. The museum updates traditional methods of exhibiting art by emphasizing technology, pop culture and the provocative mixing of mediums. From exhibition to exhibition, the museum may seem like a completely different place, reinventing its contours with the changing shape of the art it displays.
