Tacos and burritos are custom-made with fresh ingredients at this industrial-chic Mexican chain..
In Short
Boasting a sleek decor of blond wood, raw steel and exposed pipes, this taqueria hums with conversation and an eclectic mix of piped-in salsa, rock and reggae. Patrons--mostly on-the-go professionals and parents with kids in tow--line up at an assembly-line style counter for hard and soft tacos or burritos (regular, fajita-style or without the tortilla) made with fillings like grilled chicken or steak, free-range pork or shredded beef.
Great food and clean. The food is always fresh, good tasting, with plenty of options in building a burrito and a good variety of hot sauces. Keep this mind, it is clean. You go to other Mexican places in Denver and the places are not as clean, the food handlers at times handle money, and the kitchens are hidden for good reason. The prices here are reasonable and service is great. I've given up on the corner Mexican restaurant and stay with Chipotle.
Oversalted food.
Most of the food is over salted for some reason...
and the Buritos are too big. Cut down the cost, size and the salt !
La Chipotle. The BEST AND BIGGEST Burritos anywhere!. They weigh about 2 lbs and for under $5 where else can beat that. OUTSTANDING. They should be all over the country
People think highly of Chipotle?. I'm disturbed that it has a high rating. I might stop in if I'm on the road and I'm in a hurry, but I can't honestly say I enjoy the food or atmosphere. I have never told anyone that I have eaten there or had a converstion with anyone who has eaten there. You eat there, you regret it, then forget about it.
Garbage. Why bother wasting your time when you could eat Illegal Pete's or at least Qdoba? Everyone knows Illegal Pete's is the best...why would anyone even give a substandard chain the chance. First off, their burritos are dry...meat is dry, not very fresh tasting or well spiced. Secondly, their salsa's aren't as good as Illegal Pete's and Qdoba's. Bottom line, quit wasting your time with Mcdonalds! You get more bang for the buck at Illegal Pete's too.
McMexican.
Although the food is good after you pay extra for the guac on a burrito or taco, I am astounded how many people wait in line for counter service and pay over $8.50. This is good fast food at a full service price. The menu was recently McDonaldized to make ordering quicker for the slow thinking sheep in the herd waiting to order.
Come on people, wake up.
Chipotle: Our Mascot. Over the last three years I have attended Arapahoe High School, a typical suburban high school. And for the past three years, I, and all of my friends with me, have enjoyed the flair, pizazz and excellent food at the Chipotle right across the street from us. As many can tell you, we all think that Chipotle is our mascot in a way. Everyday hundreds of students gather inside of it. Relationships have grown or ended inside its walls. Projects for classes have been discussed. It has been a gathering place for the most diverse groups of people from our school (as diverse as you can get in a predominately white suburb). Jocks, band kids, theater, nerds and punks all eat there in perfect content and harmony. Thanks to Chipotle, we all have a place to gather during lunch to enjoy good food and good friendship.
The McDonald's of burrito joints..... Chipolte needs to hire a chef from Illegal Pete's to figure out the one fatal flaw in the recipe. You got to mix up the ingredients. One bite sour cream, one bite rice, you start getting mad until you find those precious few nuggets of meat in the tail of your burrito. The crew at Illegal Pete's mix up the ingredients once you pick everything so each bite is the same and delicious. They would be #1 if they had one in Highlands Ranch.
iluvchipotle. I love chipotle i had it for dinner tonight it is so yummy
