Editorial Review for Avenue Grill – by Ephraim Mallery

In Short
Power diners, casual lunchers and faithful regulars, social activists and a hip bar crowd: Avenue Grill welcomes them all. The bar sprawls across the back of the restaurant, and dark wood tables clothed in white fill the rest of the space. The menu features shrimp wrapped in Italian bacon, vegetable spring rolls, pork chops drizzled with hot mustard or spinach fettuccine and rock shrimp. For dessert there's the handmade gelato trio.

I love Ave Grill. We celebrate every occassion we can there. We were there last week for a birthday and the service was wonderful. The entrees were all perfect. The pork chop is to die for and has not changed in the last few years that we have been going there. I will admit that the dessert menu needs to be more homemade and changed up. It is lacking. For instance the Key Lime is not worth the money. But the bread pudding is great as well as the frangelico tart. The wine list as well as the bartenders are great. I hope that Ave Grill never changes. They are perfect just the way they are. We go there at least once a week too!

Pros: Parking

Cons: Not a place for kids. Which actually is not a con for those that want to dine kid free.

Expensive, waited forever and way below average food. Service was even worse and overcharged for drinks...ice tea charges each time and no refills we were told. How expensive is it to refill an ice tea? Will not go back ...waste of time and money! VERY DISPLEASED

Pros: none

Cons: everything from start to finish
