A Must See in Denver. I take every one of my out of town guests here. The atmosphere is unique and the wait staff are hilarious! It can be a little campy, but I think that adds to the overall fabulousness of this cafe.

awesome!. They have the freshest food and serve big portions (no skimping). The weekend brunch with the transvestites is HY-sterical.

Less than family friendly. Do not be fooled...this is not a family-friendly restaurant. The food itself was excellent and the chef took great care in cooking the food, but the service was very poor and a server dressed like Marilyn Monroe with bad teeth/smokers teeth, made the experience less appealing.

Love it!!!!. Oh, I love this place. Usually wait a while, but what a fun crowd to wait with. Fun is the name of the game here..from the time you get there til you leave you are entertained. And fed, so much food in their servings. It's a toss up whether I like the food or the people who work and go there the best. I've, been back again and again and again...and will keep on going.

Eclectic food, efficient service. This place has very unique and tasty food served up in a tacky, campy style by personable cross dressing wait staff - very busy place, plan to wait. Bakery items are delish and so is the food if you are open minded (you won't find any 'standards' on this menu.) Adults young and old will enjoy it, HOWEVER...... at least one of the wait staff has apparently become a local celebrity, and his risque 'performance art bit' and choice of clothing is too over-the-top for younger children.

Best baker & chef in all of Colorado if not the world. The owner/baker/chef is simply brilliant. He creates not only always the most delicious items -- from the best bagel & lox in town (and most affordable) to artichoke chicken sandwiches with divine slaw that is light & perfectly right, to simply the best baked goods ever made-- but also the most original food in town. You will never have another peanut butter cookie (topped with a chocolate caramel kiss) anywhere else again. Oh, and the carrot cake, the pecan sandy's, the lattes, the gazpacho soup, the... everything -- there's not one item on his menu from his original BLT sandwich to his mac & cheese that won't make you want to write home to Mom. Plus everything is totally fresh and hand-made. You'll never be disappointed. His creations are phenomenal and his menu is sensational. Go there fast! Bump & Grind is open at 7am (except Mon & Tues) for breakfast & lunch & afternoon cafe plus there's the famous & one & only Petticoat Brunch on Saturday & Sunday's. Biscuits & Gravy will never be the same again!

A Denver Landmark. If you haven't been to Bump & Grind, you're missing out. This is as much a part of Denver as the Molly Brown House and the State Capitol, only a lot more fun! You know you are about to have a unique experience as you walk up and see the slightly shabby pink and green striped store front and Barbi Dolls and shower curtains in the window. Once inside, the delicious smells coming from the tiny kitchen let you know you've come to the right place.

During the week expect fabulous menu options and humorous daily specials. From creative salads to outrageous sandwiches, all the items are served up in oversize portions which are perfect to take leftovers with you for an afternoon snack or next-day lunch. Considering the quantity and quality of the food, the prices are very low. Try the "Santa Fe Tart" which is one of my favorites. Be sure to save room for a fresh baked treat after lunch. My favorite is "Caramel Knowledge"...very decadent! All the food is prepared fresh on the premises including all the unique baked goods.

On Saturday and Sunday, Bump and Grind hosts "Petticoat Bruncheon", a festive weekend brunch complete with humorous drag queens. Get there early as there is often a line waiting to get in! This is the perfect irreverent venue for meeting-up with family and friends, or celebrating a birthday. Expect lots of noise and activity. The crowd ranges from little old grey haired ladies with cameras to the hip tattoed and pierced younger crowd. The delicious weekend menu features "brunchy" style items that are all just as creative and delicious as the weekday offerings only served by a lively and bawdy bunch of servers.

Whether you go during the week or weekend, you will have a delicious meal and a good time. I've been eating there since they opened and I highly recommend it for locals and out of towners looking for a memorable eating experience!

a bit odd for our taste, but fun nonetheless. this place was crowded when we arrived, clearly the place to be on a saturday morning. the "waitresses" were friendly and seemed like they enjoyed themselves, too. i had the mexican benedict and my bf had the cheesy strata - both were good and served with a great assortment of fresh fruit. the decor is a little on the kitschy side, but i guess most people enjoy that....

A playful staff and a delicious brunch await all those willing to break down their walls and become children.. In Short
Beaming colors and cross-dressing waiters mix with toys spread out in 2-year-old toddler fashion. Local artists show off playful yet savvy paintings and sculptures all around the place. Coffee flows like water. Cakes, scones, muffins and empanadas are some of the tasty treats that always take early-morning residence. However, the best time for a great selection is Saturday's brunch, when the rotating menu can feature egg roulades, banana waffles and vegetable pie.

Mattel would love this!. Alice never encountered anything like this in wonderland. This is a unique experience in Denver and even challenges the avant garde ambience of San Francicso. All the waitresses in the joint wear mini-skirts, and all the waitresses in the joint wear too much make-up, and all the waitresses are men. This is a great place for the creative, eclectic, and individualists. It is sure to offend and amuse the arrogantly conservative while keeping the real people entertained and involved. Smiles prevade the employees and the clientele, making it a great place to stop before going anywhere on a weekend romp. We were greeted in a friendly manner as soon as we walked in, and given a choice of inside or outside. I reccomend eating inside to enjoy the ambience inside.
