This former cathedral pumps up the volume and praises the electronic gods on the dance floor..
In Short
With several bars, three dance areas, a couple of lounges and even a sushi bar, The Church makes getting rowdy lots of fun. Depending on the night and the room, it attracts crowds of goths, mods and club kids. There's obvious appeal to ordering a drink and dancing the night away in a former church. However, it's not a concert hall: Sound bounces off the stone walls and cavernous high-arched ceilings creating some less-than-stellar acoustics.
A Religious Experience. The Church is the most thrilling dance club that I have ever been to! It attracts all sorts of interesting people, making each time there a unique and interesting experience. The three separate dance rooms also help with this. Meeting singles is easy and fun, but it's also a great place to go and simply dance your pants off! I must say that even though I can only go to The Church on Thursdays as of now, it is well worth the $15 cover charge for being under 21. I definitely recommend it for underagers who want to actually have fun in church!
best place in Denver. I just went to The Church last night since I moved to Denver. I love it. Better than any place I went in Chicago when I lived there.
Upgrade. I think the speaker system is awesome. The Lazer light area needs major improvement to equal others in this area. Look at the Gothic Theater as an example of Good Lazer lighting. Room needs to be darker also as lazer lights improve !!!!
Main stop for International Djs. Probably the best long-lasting club in Denver. On many nights, its a lame crowd, but anytime there is a popular DJ spinning, it is the best crowd you could hope for. Great, base-pounding sound system with large dance floor. Usually had wonderful hard house and progressive trance to elevate your bpdy and mind.
Stayin' faithful. The church is the hottest spot to be at in denver. It has a little for everybody. The best in house/trance upstairs and now hip-hop down stairs. A sushi bar and a cigar lounge to add a little relaxation before hittin' the dance floor. I've taken people there before who didn't like techno at all, and now they want to be there every weekend. All I can say is that's one church I'll definitely be faithful to!!
Go to Church!!. The Church rocks! The sound system is thumpin and the people are all out to have a good time. A bit crowded, but the crowd is diverse and everyone is welcome : ). Went only 2 times in Denver, but both were definitely memorable.
funlovin1. The architecture alone is a great reason to bring a newcomer to the Church. It's a beautiful place. The music is great to dance to, and they have different kinds of music in 3 different rooms on the weekends. If you like variety, the Church is one of the places to go for that. The crowd is always fun, chic, funky & friendly. If you need a little privacy, they have some secluded seating available also. If you're visiting Denver, you're new to the city or have never been to the Church, it's worth the trip.
best club outside of downtown!. I've been going to The Church on a somewhat regular basis, at least 2-3 times a month, for a few years now and I gotta say that this is definitely one helluva club! About the only downfall I have of the place is the drink prices. But I guess it could be worse from what I hear about clubs in NYC and L.A. Other than that, The Church is high on my list for best dance clubs in the country!
HOLY Good Time, Batman!. This Place is a cool Place to meet your Freaky - Deekie Girls. Like a Rave minus the rave...
