Editorial Review for Pandora Jewelry – by David J. Soto

In Short
Pandora's avoids pigeonholing itself in campiness by leaping beyond with items like Amish punching puppets and Hindu lunch boxes. And there are cases loaded with imported necklaces, rings, earrings and every other adornment. Jewelry ranges from thin silver earrings and bracelets to spiky, neon body decorations. Home furnishings include Indian tapestries, tiki doorknobs and Chinese paper lanterns. There are also car accessories such as fuzzy tiger-striped wheel covers and Hula girls for the dashboard.

Insider Tips

Look Good

The bowling-bag-as-purse look is encouraged, with plenty of colors and textures to choose from. Fill your bags with matching cigarette cases and pens featuring a floating Jesus.

Know Before You Go

Virgin Mary slapped on a light-switch plate or wind-up, spark-firing Nunzillas might not have been in the Creator's grand scheme, but Pandora's stocks them and plenty more God oddities.

The Extras

Don't leave without Pez magnets, Gumby notecards, "Barbarella" postcards and 75-cent Hindu finger puppets.

The employees are so nice. They smile and welcome you in. Great choice of intereting jewelry, candles, novelty cookware, and journals. My favorite part of the store is the vintage postcards and cards in the front of the store. The postcards are only 90 cents. They also have a small baby section and a section designated for Buddha items (who knew?) Be sure to check out the 50% and 25% off tables for some great deals.

This store is full of very fun stuff. I spent more than an hour when I visited there the first time, and walked out with 3 necklaces, 2 pairs of earrings, 2 note books, a purse and a rubber duck. I will keep going back!

Pros: unique items, fun stuff

Cons: parking is hard to find
