B & B Perfection. The hosts at Capital Hill were open, friendly and generous with themselves and this beautiful historic home in the heart of downtown Denver. You can tell that is many people's home away from home. We're truly spoiled now!

great chef. Are you seeking a quaint turn of the century experience? Do you savor exquisitely prepared meals with the personal service provided by the chef himself? Well, if you are you must undoubtedly try the, Capitol Hill Mansion Bed and Breakfast in downtown Denver Colorado Chef Eric Means is a classically trained chef who will soon graduate from the Art Institute of Colorado.

Chef Eric has a tendency to choose decadent over deprivation and has a distinct propensity to tickle your pallet. Chef Eric will definitively meet your culinary desire with Colorado style dishes fused with French flare, such as, Southwestern Sweet potato Quiche, Down Home Ranch Potato Casserole, Lemon Stuffed Creme Brule French Toast and a dizzying array of Egg Souffles. The B&B is outstanding; however, the defining characteristic is the eclectic menu assortment ensures the whole experience is unrelentingly out of this world.

Chef Eric is one of the best-kept secrets in Denver, cleverly hidden away at the Capitol Hill Mansion. I implore you to spend a few days in Denver with Chef Eric as your culinary guide. Once you have had the experience at the Capitol Hill Mansion you will not stay anywhere else in Denver.

A favorite inn of business travelers caters to romantics as well.. The Scene
Situated in the historic Eastside Mansion District, this Capitol Hill dwelling is a lovely Richardsonian Romanesque mansion built from ruby sandstone, with turrets, balconies and a curving porch. Guests can choose to hide away here or set up a base of operation for business travel and city exploration--the central business area, state and federal offices, and the convention center are all just a short walk away.

The Details
Eight distinctive guest rooms named for Colorado wildflowers are elegantly appointed with antique furnishings, fresh flowers and private baths. Three rooms have whirlpool tubs, two have fireplaces, and two have balconies. Most rooms offer views of historic mansions, the city skyline or the Rocky Mountains. Owners Jay Hadley and Carl Schmidt can arrange horse-drawn carriage rides to downtown dining and entertainment and help with restaurant and sightseeing recommendations.
