Three strikes and yer out. I always give salons 3 chances. My first appointment was ok, thought they were a bit unprofessional and my hair was slightly funkier than I anticipated but she did a great job.

My second appointment, I specifically asked for no red in my hair. I know that my hair clings heavily to red so I asked for an ash brown. My hair of course turned out very red and she only said to me, "its just the light in our salon, it sucks". I said, "its also a little dark" she says, "it will fade, but if it fades too much over the next week, come back and I'll touch it up for free". Not only did I have to hear excuse after excuse for my dissatisfaction, they were moving stuff out as I was getting my hair done, their frustration obvious.

Here comes strike number three. Over the next week, everyone I came into contact with was curious over my new red hair. I called about refreshing my hair for that free touch up.... Yeah they moved, aka, got evicted, so they were having problems with the phone.... I left a message. They didn't return my call for 2 or 3 days. I called back after they left me a message apologizing, but.... the same thing happened.

I trust that my stylist is a wonderful colorist and that she would have fixed my color, however, with business management like that, I would prefer to go somewhere less stressful. Getting your hair done should not be a chore.

LOVE this place. Suzie is my FAVE here. She does an amazing job at cut and color. I have finiky hair and a need for low maintenance color job. Give her the reins to do what she does and you won't be disappointed. Her brow and face waxing is also very good! Not terribly priced either.

The only down side is, make sure to call ahead of time and see where they are with your appointment, there's a pretty good chance they are running late ;-) Fortunately, there's a bar/coffee shop/bakery next door.

works with your needs. I went to Moxie never having a haircut I have been completely satisfied with in my life. I explained to Susie what problems I have with my hair and she cut it perfectly to help my hair issues. And her layers were exactly how I wanted them. I think I have found my permanent stylist. On top of that she was so nice and fun to talk to! I would recommend them to anyone!

fun, quick cut. I was coming from City O'City and decided to get a cut on a whim. Walked into Moxie and was instantly impressed with the funky atmosphere, but a little apprehensive (my previous experience with Denver salons has been a truck full over undeserved arrogance and pretension). The receptionist was friendly and got me right in with stylist Brooke. She was super friendly and attentive to my (somewhat vague) idea. I got a really cool asymmetrical cut in under 45 minutes. Brooke explained how to style it, and used minimal product. Was checked out in a timely manner, and it wasn't too expensive. All in all, a great experience.

Great Funky Atmosphere. My fiance got his haircut with Brooke (look for the bright red hair) a few weeks ago and it looked great so I tried a new style this past weekend. I went from long straight hair to a bob and she did a great job. She listened to me and also offered advice on what would look good on me. I love my new hair cut and my fiance does too (he normally doesn't like short hair). She also gave a great shampoo with a scalp massage. It was a great experience. I also brought my small dog in with me and she was very welcomed. Can't go wrong with a dog friendly place!

Fantastic Haircut!. I just moved to Denver and was extremely nervous about getting my hair cut. A friend recommended Moxie and I could not be happier. I arrived and was asked if I'd like a glass of water while I waited (so nice). Then, met Suzi who took her time with my hair, gave me exactly what I wanted and showed me how to keep up the styling. I'm extremely pleased with how my hair turned out and will definitely be going back!

You want Tauna to cut your hair!. I just wanted to say that if you are hesitant to spend a week waiting for your haircut to "grow out" and look decent you should get yourself an appointment at Moxie. Tauna is awesome, she cut pretty much all of my hair with a razor. I've never seen that before and it turned out excellent. I'll definitely be going back.
