Editorial Review for Denver Public Library – by Citysearch Editors
In Short
Until a major expansion in 1995, the main branch had so outgrown its digs that three-quarters of the collection was in storage. Now, 99 percent of its holdings are on display within the building. More than five million books, an outstanding selection of popular movies, documentaries and educational films, a huge CD collection newspapers from around the globe and plenty of PCs with Internet access are all just some of the amenities the library has to offer.

If I bought all the books I read, I would have no money for food or rent. Thanks to DPL I can read the latest best sellers, great cookbooks, how-to manuals, biography, romance, science fiction or any other book for free. Like to watch videos? Borrow them - don't rent them. Do you commute? Get books on tape or on CD. Did you know that if you have a question about anything you can call or visit any DPL and the reference librarian will find an answer? Away from home & want to get on the Internet? DPL. They can get you any book in print. One of my favorite places in the world.
Pros: free books & videos, free Internet access, library card is free
