In Short – Light washes through the windows onto sleek lines and contemporary art pieces from the museum. Families, power lunchers and artists dine on the elegant dishes concocted by local food guru Kevin Taylor. While he doesn't man the kitchen, his magic touch is evident in dishes such as smoked sweet-corn soup with barbecued shrimp, roasted lemon-and-garlic half-chicken and crispy potato-crusted scallops. Inventive desserts include the "Snickers" chocolate caramel mousse.
Great place for a private party
by kristenindenverco at Citysearch
We hosted a private party here a few months ago and were very pleased with how things went. The food was fantastic and unique, the waitstaff and bartenders were so friendly, and the overall experience was wonderful. I haven't eaten there for a regular meal but I can easily say that I will be using this venue for some of my corporate events in the future!
Great food for a fair price

This place offers some of the best food I've had in Denver, and all for a great price! Too bad they aren't open very often.
We need a quality fine dining restaurant at the Hamilton! Palettes is not up to the challenge!

The Denver Art Museum needs to boot this restaurant out! It?s over-priced, the menu is tired, and the food is just not worth stopping in for. It?s sad because I love my trips to the DAM. It would be a dream to have a three to four star restaurant in the museum with food in all price categories, since all people who visit don?t want lobster. Not that you can get that at Pallets. The menu is pretentious and doesn?t live up to the foo-foo descriptions. I?ve ordered everything from the steak to the salmon and have never been impressed. This place takes all the fun out of dining out.. I would love to have a quality restaurant in the Civic Center area. Art and food go hand in hand, but don?t waste your time at Pallets.
There is nothing worse than expensive bad food.
- Pros: The people serving seem to try so very hard.
- Cons: Food is not up to the hype of the Kevin Taylor empire. It's costly and silly.
