Dropped off my camera for repair while visiting family in Denver. Impressed with the timely communication I received from Metro throughout the process, from estimate to notification I could pick up my camera.
I used Metro Camera several years ago with my film cameras and was always happy with the service, then I lost track of them when they moved from west Denver to Englewood. Last summer I was lucky enough to find them again after another camera "repair" shop had wasted a month, did not even look at the camera, then tried to sell me a new lens which I did not need.
Any business that gives honest, quick, affordable, consistently high quality service over a period of ten or twelve years deserves at least Five Stars and will get my business, even if it means a drive across town.
My work took our Sony PMW-EX1 into this place for a cleaning. Not only was it almost two months before we heard from them again, the camcorder was toast. It wouldn't even turn on. We took it back and asked them to explain what happened. All they told us was that the motherboard was fried and it'd be $4,000 to fix it. It worked when we gave it to them. And now it's sitting in a box in the closet. Here's the best part: the camera was still dirty when we got it back initially. So, my boss paid them to break our camera, and nothing more.
Scams and misrepresentations. The woman at the counter was great the guy later tried to bump my price over $200 like a dishonest mechanic. Didn't work on me. I am getting my money back or we're going to court,
Was having a problem with my D-300 and took it in here for repairs twice. Neither time did they solve the problem. $250 later.... Decided to google the issue... About 10 minuts later and a quick cleaning of the grounding pin and contacts problem is solved. Thanks for nothing, guys.
I have used Metro Camera Serives 2
times and I have had two Nightmares. I sent my lens in for cleaning, when it came back it made gringing noises when focusing, they said "that is normal", funny it didn''t make that noise before they "CLEANED IT", sent back and they said they fixed it, NO THEY DIDN'T! My lens is ruined, no longer useable. VERY Rude Customer Service. Unprofesional! Will NEVER use again, constantly they would say "we will call you right back" NO THEY DON'T! Once they got my money I was on my own, they wouldn't help me, SHAME ON METRO CAMERA SERVICES! DO NOT GO THERE!

My service was great. I appreciated not having an extra charge above the diagnostic fee.
