Best you can get. Period. And for the price, no one will beat it.. Not many people know of this little Mexican restaurant, just half a block north of Larimer Street in Denver. Some would never expect such food as La Casa de Manuel, with the green building and orange seats inside. It's more than worth it to get past your decorating fears to come here. Places like Blue Bonnett in south Denver, or chain On the Border Mexican have good food, but nothing even as close to La Casa de Manuel for authenticity. As Donna, one of the waitresses, will tell you, being from Hispanic decent herself, the food served here are the kinds of things that would be served in her home if you had ever come to visit. You start your dinner off with your drink, and a plate of warm chips, and homemade salsa. You can move in the direction of their enchiladas, or tacos, whichever you prefer, or go for their Westwood Awarded "Best Burrito in Denver" the absolutely delicious green chili-soaked wet beef burrito. You can't go wrong. Wondeful friendly staff, a slightly outdated atmosphere, but will solve absolutely all of your Mexican food cravings in one sitting. Once all said and done, full, and ready to head out, you'll be pleasantly surprised to find that even the Award-Winning wet beef burrito only costs near $6. A family of four can comfortably eat here for around $30. You'd pay more at a chain restaurant, like Chipotle. Check them out today, you will not be disappointed.
best wet burritos in denver, a recipe that has never changed. i have enjoyed dining at the casa de manuel mexican restaurant for years. as one of the first original mexican restaurants in denver, the casa de manuel mexican menu has served up some of the best mexican plates in all of the denver metro area, since the 1950's. it was originally located on the corner of 20th and Larimer sts until they moved to their present location in the 1990's.
