The Scene
These two historic mansions overlook a quiet park but are within easy walking distance of downtown Denver. They are completely decorated with antique Victorian, Eastlake and wicker furniture. They're popular with business travelers, honeymooners and others who enjoy urban but homey accommodations.

The Details
All 10 guest rooms and four suites have air-conditioning, private baths, direct-dial telephones and data lines. Notable extras include piped-in chamber music and fresh flowers. The Rooftop Room has French doors that open to a private deck with a hot tub and spectacular views of the city skyline. The Aspen Room (located in the turret) has bay windows with views of the city skyscrapers at night. Big breakfasts often feature as many as five different crustless quiches, including the much-requested snow crab quiche, and are served buffet-style in the dining room. Evenings, guests gather in the parlor for conversation and a sampling of Colorado wines.

We really renjoyed our stay and were impressed with how accommodating everyone was. You are so close to the heart of downtown. We enjoyed our daily walks to the city and the park across the street adds to the charm and character. Everything was neat/clean/appropriate. Would definitely stay again.

A Quiet Place to Stay in the City

My husband and I pass through Denver once a year, and we always try to include a night at the Queen Anne Bed & Breakfast Inn. It is a very special place in the heard of the city yet away from the traffic and noise. There is a park across the street and across from the park is a fabulous neighborhood restaurant (Dish). The Inn is within walking distance to the art museum, capitol buildings and the 16th St. Mall. We have always found the King family to be welcoming and accommodating. They serve up a great breakfast, and the daily wine tasting is always a treat. The theme rooms are tastefully done - we are partial to the Remington Room which has a very good hot tub. We look forward to being there again in 2009.
