The evening of July 10, 2012, I went to the local Good Times in Boulder, CO (approximately 9:30p MST) and was horrified with what I witnessed. (Good Times address: 2050 26th Street, Boulder, CO 80301).
Upon reaching the walk-up order window, there was a large cockroach sitting on the outside counter. As soon as I alerted a Good Times employee, he gathered his coworkers to watch as he reached through the window (from the Good Times kitchen) and speared the cockroach with a plastic, Good Times fork.
From here, the Good Times employee proceeded to put the still alive cockroach in the faces of other Good Time employees.
Next, this employee and another Good Times employee proceeded to put Good Times BBQ sauce on the cockroach and pretended to feed it to one another.
After several minutes of watching, in shock, the initial employee proceeded to light the cockroach on fire with a personal lighter - immediately beside a table full of Good Times food items.
After dismembering the cockroach for approximately 5 minutes in the Good Times kitchen (visible to all customers), the employee discarded the cockroach in a trashcan and proceeded to make my order.
Immediately following, I requested a Manager who refunded my order without question. To my surprise, the Manager was among the employees who witnessed, and participated in this disturbing act.
I've already contacted the Good Times corporate office, however, have received no notification of receipt or plan of action.
For the health and safety of yourself and others, I do not recommended visiting this Good Times location.
Clean your lettuce! – Lettuce not washed!! We love your burgerd and fries.
Really need to wash your lettuce better, it is bitter and all you get is hard core.
Seems all you do is cut it up.
A fast food burger chain with NATURAL COLEMAN BEEF??!! Huge improvement from '03 – It's about time to update the facts on this drive thru. They are building new stores with dining rooms!
They have done exactly that too close to my home for comfort. Very tempting.
Major change-the burgers are 100% natural COLEMAN BEEF-wonderful stuff and they taste great! I have been enjoying the mushroom cheese burger. I have yet to try a plain one so can't comment on the 'fixin's' on them.
I just tried the wild fries. Very good change from my old fav chain. Servings are very generous, staff is
cheery and competent. And the custard has changed my idea of good icecream-it's wonderful, different flavor daily. Made fresh frequequently daily.
The new stores with sitdown restaurant are very pleasant.
I don't mean for this to sound like a commercial. It is just a VERY experienced fast food chain persons opinion.
I haven't found the website yet-if they have one-but I am interested in the nutritional info.
Con....not really, just be prepared for a juicy burger. BIG change overall from the early days!
Congratulations to the wizards on giving us a VERY improved Good Time (s)
This local fast-food chain serves up the finest fries east of the Divide. – In Short
The first drive-thru opened in Boulder in 1986 and the company now has more than 30 locations in the Mile High area alone. The simple menu includes burgers, chicken sandwiches, chicken dunkers, fries, rings and frozen custard. The portions are larger than the other fast-food players and the food is always a higher grade of quality and freshness. But the big difference is in the fries. Seasoned and battered, the "wild fries" are addictive.
Worst Burger Ever! – This burger chain serves THE WORST burger I've ever eaten. I travel a lot and they win hands down for the #1 place to avoid. Not worth the $. They are so NOT 100% beef. Obviously been blended dwn w/ some fillers. The fries are those AWFUL low quality batter dipped, over seasoned excuse for fries. Onion rings were not much better. The "Wild Sauce" is just BBQ sauce mixed w/ mayo. I'll give them the frozen custard. It was OK. Dont waste your hard earned money. Disappointing.
Best FF??? You MUST be JOKING!!! LOLOLOL!!! – You have got to be kidding GoodTimes voted BEST French fries 2005??? LOL!!! I don't even think GoodTimes French Fries are made with potatoes!!! Aren't they Rice?? bleeeeeeeeeeeeech!!
I really don't like Good Times French Fries, not sure what they consist of but not a big fan of the texture, etc.
sloppy – Burgers are often wet and greasy, never the same. Inconsistant product, but always wet with sauce and crushed from handling. Onion rings used to be great, but have lessend in quality. Often fried in old grease and they taste like it.
Best Bang for the Buck! – You want a good burger without spending $5 or more? You want it fast? You want consistency? Normally I am not one to praise Fast Food places, but Good Times just does it right somehow.
Wild Fries – Good Times has delicious food for a great price. Their wild fries are extremely good and so is their spicy chicken sandwich. They deserve the audience award. They have delicious food.
good times, good times... – Sad though it may be that I have nothing better to do with my time that write about french fries, I have to say that good times has the BEST seasoned fries. Their golden fries were excellent as well...I wish they hadn't been discontinued.
