While getting quotes to have our house painted, Ireland's Finest was very professional. The price was higher than others but their reviews were good, so we decided to spend the extra money to have it done right. After the first day, the quote "Quality Work by Trusted Craftsmen" seemed apparently to be a false claim. There were grinder marks left on our wood shutters and gables. Four of our windows were painted shut. They left paint cans outside overnight in freezing temps, didn't use drop cloths regularly and didn't allow enough drying time between coats. The initial paint was the wrong color - a crew member told me that the "paint store made a mistake". And after the color was resolved, we noticed that the paint finish was a semi-gloss. This was not requested or even pre-discussed with Andrew. We wanted a flat finish. The crew seemed to be lacking supervision and training. We had a new bead board ceiling on our porch that had never been painted. The paint was applied so thickly that it bubbled in the cracks. They suggested that they could fill in the cracks in the bead board with Bondo. It was obvious that they were just grasping at solutions. To Andrew's credit, once he saw the house, he agreed to re-do the necessary work at no cost. It would have been better for everyone if he had supervised all along, or had a higher level foreman or quality control system in place. It seems that Andrew took a gamble on accepting our contract. Our intent with hiring Ireland's Finest was to have the peace of mind that we were getting high quality service, without having to personally supervise the crew. Andrew gambled if the painters would do a "good enough" job. He gambled whether we would complain, notice and/or just accept less than quality workmanship. He blamed it partially on the painters being tired at the end of a long season. Next time, I will use one of the more inexpensive bids. Surely, it wouldn't be any more stress than we had by using Ireland's Finest.

I can't believe how fast, professional, and easy it was having them paint my homes. I have 2 rental homes, and my own home that were painted by a company that completely screwed up. I was refered to Keith and Andrew of Ireland's Finest, and they were able to fit me into their busy schedule, and have a clean and professional crew come fix the other company's mistakes. I should have used them from the start, and will from now on. I highly recommend them to any one, especially if you want the job done fast and done right the first time!
