Editorial Review for Gelato d'Italia – by Citysearch Staff
In Short
European gourmet items line the shelves, but homemade premium gelato is the draw here. Gelato, compared to ice cream, has no air, more yolks, more milk and less cream. The denser, richly flavored dessert comes in flavors such as pistachio, chocolate, lemon and blueberry, available in fresh cones. Try "spaghett-eis," strings of vanilla gelato covered in strawberry sauce. Frozen to-go desserts are available to-go as are espresso drinks.

Location is great -- quaint street in Cherry Hill with outdoor seating. There are tons of great flavors. I've tasted the banana choc chip, passion fruit sorbet, dark chocolate, coconut, mango sorbet, pistachio, hazelnut chocolate, plain hazelnut, and chocolate raspberry. This is fantastic creamy, dense gelato. The service is wonderful too -- very helpful, cheerful, and accommodating. I've only been in Denver for a short time, but I love ice cream and have tried a few "ice cream" places, and this is my favorite!!
Pros: delicious gelato, lots of flavors, great service
Cons: little pricey
