Cherry Creek Grill!. Ah Cherry Creek Grill! What would my holiday season be without my annual excursion to the golden shores of your vast ocean of deliciousness and service? Ahem, sorry. Perhaps I am still a little giddy from my experience here last night. For the last few years, my mom and I have come here for a special holiday meal. I have never had anything but a fantastic evening here. Is it because I come here at a special time of year with my mother and simply associate it with good times? Maybe. Is it because the food is fantastic? Probably. Is it because the service denotes exactly how a restaurant should be run? Most likely. Is it because a good looking waitress goosed me? No. That didn't happen. Maybe next year.
I'll definitely be coming back..
Seems like a pretty well-established Cherry Creek happy hour crowd. I arrived at about 6:30 and couldn't find a seat at the bar. One didn't come available for a good hour or two, which was fine --- I sat in a booth with my friend. She had the chicken ceasar, btw, which she liked a lot, all while stealing some of my Brussels sprouts. Who can blame her?
This is a good staple bar/restaurant. I'll definitely be coming back.
Delicious!. Earlier this week I had the wood-fire grilled salmon with mashed potatoes and sauteed Brussels sprouts. Yes, I love Brussels sprouts, and so when I heard them on special I pounced. Delicious! I almost went back for that same meal the next night but even I am not that self indulgent. So maybe tomorrow night? ;)
fast and yummy. I've been here a couple of times and like it. The bar area is big and open and the drinks are cold, fast and yummy. I order lemon drop martinis or cosmopolitans and they make them well.
Never Disappointed.
I love this restaurant! I have never been disappointed - ever. In fact, we were there last night and had great food, terrific wine and the wait service was attentive as usual. I'm not sure why others have had such bad experiences.
I must say that there are less cougars sitting at the bar than say a year ago. Those old chicks hardly wore any clothes but they were fun to watch!
LOVE this restaurant!. I couldn't believe some of the reviews I read about my favorite restaurant. I LOVE this place! I have been going to this restaurant regularly, since they opened. The food is yummy, the atmosphere is cozy, there is fabulous energy in the room, you can have private conversations in the comfy booths, and the service is excellent. And the staff seems to work very hard to maintain consistency and good customer service. Really happy they let you carry out again.
Has gone downhill steadily.
CCG was one of our favorite places in Denver. In fact it was the first place we ate at when we moved to Denver. Back then (2002) it was a fun place, with really good food and very nice wait staff. I have no idea what happenend but the food has become worse than really bad diner food, the wait staff thinks that they are doing us a favor and the reservation policy is truly absurd.
The Macho salad, which was terrific for its flavor and presentation, has gotten appreciably smaller, the chicken is so tough you'd think it was from last year and the figs seem stale. The steak is equally tough--you could saddle it and ride off into the sunset. We can't figure out what happened to the food except they are cutting corners on quality.
The wait staff is obnoxious 20 somethings who think they have class. I had to disabuse them of this but they could not hold a candle to the worst wait staff in NYC. They don't have a clue about the food, they argue when you want to send a dish back because it is unpalatable and the haven't a clue how to behave in a service industry type job.
It is such a shame that CCG has gone down hill and that the staff seems to have no interest in making this restaurant all that they say it is cracked up to be.
Kinda Gross. Been here a couple of times. The service is horrible, the wine list is overpriced and predicable and the food is blah. It is an experience of $30,000 a year millionaires, and super uptight biddies, and 50 yr. old divorcees. Really at least the food should be good, but my salad came with rotted lettuce, which I was told was burned by frost, not rotten. The fact that the waiter wanted to argue about brown slimy lettuce told me all I needed to know about the attitude of this place. with so many other great places to go in Cherry Creek, avoid this place...
Super place for lunch or dinner. I eat lunch at the Grill a few times a month. My colleagues and I have never been disappointed. We have multiple choices in Cherry Creek, all good, like North, Houstons, Ollies, etc, but we always go back to the Cherry Creek Grill. I liked lunch there so much I took my wife to dinner and she agreed that this was the best kept secret in Denver.
HORRIBLE SERVICE-HORRIBLE FOOD-. Wait staff is extremely rude!! they literally make you feel as if you should be serving them! I was there last night with my out of town Uncle who is lets say is...of the hippie generation. You would not imaging the looks he received from the wait staff, as if we couldn't afford their horrible food. They charged us $30 bucks each for their center cut steak....this steak was BURNT, had NO flavor, and was very hard to cut into and chew. Not to mention the very TINY portion of mashed potatoes. THEN they have the nerve to print how much your tip should be if you choose to tip 15%- 17% or 20%- PLEASE! they didn't deserve 5%- So after spending 130$ to feed three people, we all left STILL HUNGRY! NEVER EVER GO HERE AND LETS HOPE THEY SOON PERISH IN THIS ECONOMY!
