Great place!. I'm not even jewish, but my girlfriend is. Her parents were in town and wanted to go to Zaidy's for brunch. I was worried at first because I usually don't like Jewish food. However, this place was delicious. Their lox were fresh and the latkes were good too. It's got a nice ambience, it's the kind of place where I could picture Larry David hanging out on a Curb episode. I'll go back here for brunch any day.
Good Food - Great Floor Show. "carenj" must have missed the planetary alignment or something. It's a GREAT place, with terrific service (almost TOO fast) and food that makes you come back, not just want to. The smiles are real, the portions are HUGE (leave here hungry, & you weren't paying attention!), and you learn to deal with the parking. Besides, the FLOOR SHOW is great. Mazeltov! ...and I'm not even Jewish!
This Cherry Creek Jewish deli isn't kosher, but its knishes, latkes and breakfasts may be the best in town..
In Short
The feeling is family-style, and golfers, businessmen and families can all be spotted laughing or arguing, or just enjoying a meal. Latkes abound, and the glorious potato pancakes should be ordered with any meal. Get them as a sandwich, or stuffed with pastrami or corned beef. Eat them with chili, or just stick with traditional applesauce and sour cream. Zaidy's also has the best corned-beef hash in town--the real deal, not the canned version.
Best Breakfast. The only drawback is the wait in line on week-ends, but there definitely is a reason! The food is great with a diverse selection of all types of fare regardless of your religious orientation. In addition they have some different combinations instead of the standard eggs, breakfast meat, potatoes and bread that is the standard in so many of the other places. Definitely the best breakfast in Denver.
Good Food!. Love the food! Great Kosher sandwiches at a good price. Good place to grab a quick bite!
Great Place.
We take our family here when they visit and it's always well received. If you go on a weekday in the mid-afternoon you can even get group seating...not something I would try on the always crowded weekend.
The food is delicious, the service is fast, and the waitress will even have you check to make sure that your breakfast burrito is actually vegetarian before you bite into it.
Nice lunch spot. This is a nice lunch and breakfast spot. Great challa french toast, yummy tuna melt, and perfectly decent service. It's considered a Jewish deli, and is always PACKED (at least when I go there, and I go at least once per month if not more). It's simple and cozy, and the only "bad" meal I ever had was the chopped salad. Other than the smelly sauerkraut they put on the table in front of you when you sit down, I don't have a thing to complain about.
Nonexsistant service. I actually didn't even get a chance to try the food. The service was so poor I just got up and left 20 minutes after I was seated. The service was nonexsistant. No one even noticed that I was sitting there. I didn't even see a server in the whole restaurant, and it was 1:00 on a Sunday. I won't even attempt to go back, it isn't worth my time.
For my money..... ...this is the best jewish deli in denver. The latke sandwiches always hit the spot. I also can't get enough of the Turkey/apple sandwich.
Feel like I'm in NY. Has great Jewish Deli food. Sandwiches, Salads, bagels and side dishes are all great. The only place in Denver to get this kind of Deli selection.
