Editorial Review for Tommy's Thai – by Ephraim Mallery
In Short
The dining area boasts modern steel and warm-colored accents and lots of tables. Takeout and delivery command a large portion of the business; people usually wait for their orders at the door. The small kitchen produces amazing amounts of sweet, spicy Thai classics, all cooked to spice specifications. Rich tom kha (coconut soup) could be an entire meal. Classic entrees include pad thai, curries and other stir-fried dishes.

Insider Tips
ParkingThe small lot next door is usually full and street parking is tough. Best bet: the lot across the street.
Know Before You GoDeliveries can take more than an hour, depending on business and requires a minimum $15 purchase. Takeout is usually faster, but call ahead to check the time.

The atmosphere was loud and uninviting We dined on a Wednesday night and my watch indicated it was 8:45pm our server said it was 9:00pm and we had to order immediately because the kitchen was closing. We hurried and ordered egg drop soup, hot & sour soup, veggie potstickers, chicken satay and drunken noodles. Everything came at once (along with or bill) and the hot & sour soup was the worst I had ever tasted. It was basically the egg drop soup with a strong dose of chili sauce added. I consider myself somewhat of a connoisseur of Thai/Chinese cuisine and this didn't come close. The chicken satay was what was ever left over from the days scraps and the drunken noodles lacked luster. While we were dining the staff made it very uncomfortable for us to consume our meal by mopping the floors, spraying tables with disinfectant, stacking chairs on tables, and turning the lights on full force to speed along our consumption. While we finishing our meal the entire staff stood at the counter hovering like vultures for us to leave, unfortunately I needed to use the restroom when I returned everything was cleared from our table. My recommendation- go out and explore, there is some really tasty Thai out there just not at Tommy's Thai.

Best priced Thai in Denver!! For my money, it doesn't get any better Than Tommy's Pad Phet, a couple order of crab meat cheese wontons, hot and sour soup, and some thai iced tea. With every dish under 10bucks - why go anywhere else? Only downside - this place gets crowded - and parking can be a chore!
Pros: Price, quality, service, FLAVOR!
Cons: Parking - can wait a while to be seated.
