My favortie place to eat!. Generally I dont wrote these things, but after the bad "chinese" food review I had to tell you about my repeated experiences here! Generally when I go its only the owner and no waitress. he's been in denver for 12 years now I think. and Loves making good food.

I love the fish cake appetizer and his fish panang is the best I've had ever. I recommend this place to everyone looking for something authentic and THAI. (which authentically is spicer than any american would like to eat)

I'm actually walking down their right now. and I'm so excited!

Great food and friendly service. This is a darling Thai food restaurant. My fiance and I were extremely happy when we found it, and now it's our special treat to eat there. We love the chicken sate as well as the rest of the menu. The chef and waitress are so sweet! It is noticeable that the chef is extremely passionate about his cooking and the waitress always welcomes us with a smile. Hands down the best Thai food in Denver.

If "Exotic" means rude and mean staff and terrible food, then ok.. This is the worst restaurant experience I have ever endured. My friend and I ordered dumplings, wonton soup, hot and sour soup, and chicken with vegetables. The dumplings were decent. The hot and sour soup was so spicy I couldn't eat it. I asked if they could do anything to make it a little less spicy. The waitress and the cook yelled at each other in Chinese (?) for 5 or more minutes. Being some of the only patrons in the restaurant, it was obvious they were yelling about me and my request. The waitress brought me new soup, which was also terrible (bland and gross tasting, no wonder they add so much heat) and apologized for the cook's behavior. Then, the best part was when the cook came out and berated me. He told me that "hot" meant spicy not temperature hot. He repeated this several times. Then I told him I knew what hot meant and he told me "next time you order wonton soup". I have eaten a lot of hot and sour soup, and I have never had any that was this ridiculously spicy. I tasted one bite and ate no more of the soup. Then the main meal. Most of our rice was burnt from the rice cooker (a feat I have only seen accomplished if it was left cooking for more than 1 day). It tasted mushy and old. The chicken and vegetables was equally dissatisfying. I ate one piece of chicken and it was so dry and tasted so bad I could hardly chew and swallow it. The vegetables and sauce were also foul. My friend and I each took one bite and refused to further consume it. When we expressed that the food was very bad and we couldn't eat it (something I have never in my entire life done), we asked for the check. The waitress brought it and they, astoundingly, charged us for the entire meal. I cannot more explicitly recommend that you go to ANY other chinese restaurant in the metro area. One of my most favorite restaurants, Swing Thai, is only a couple of doors away. They have awesome service and fresh, delicious food. Don't waste your time, money or health at Erwan. Exotic indeed.
