In Short – This bright, blond-wooded, garden-level German-inspired noshery in Cherry Creek attracts a moneyed clientele. Dress the trendy part and you'll fit right in with the other regulars, who flock for the excellent grub, solicitous service and convivial conversation. The menu flaunts a delicious wild mushroom strudel, a sausage platter and signature items such as wiener schnitzel, sauerbraten and fondue for two.

Chinook's atmosphere was whimsical grandma-like clutter. The menu was limited and the food just ok. Overall, it was just blah.

Excellent Food, Decent Service, Nice atmosphere

by DenverConnoisseur at Citysearch

Went there last night for a nice night out with my girlfriend. The food was excellent and delicious. The service wasn't bad, however considering with wine I am spending $200+ on dinner and wine for two I'd expect a little better service and a server who was a lot more friendly and upbeat.

Wasn't the romantic place I was hoping for, but wasn't bad either. The crowd tended to be a lot older, possibly because it was a Thursday night, not a Friday or Saturday. Overall terrific food, and a great place to go eat. Waitresses just need to cheer up and be more upbeat.

  • Pros: Food was excellent, fun atmosphere
  • Cons: Mediocre Service
