Just had lunch and it was really good!. Had the BLT sandwich and it was huge. The service was quick and efficient. The atmosphere was just delightful.
Worst service and food ever.
We went to enjoy happy hour. We ordered wine and beer...which we believed to be on the happy hour menu. We ordered two pizza's. I questioned the server about the "duck" pizza to make sure it was not spicy. She said it was on the sweet side, not spicy. My husband ordered the "Margharita" pizza. At the same time we ordered the pizza, we ordered another drink.
The pizza's were brought to the table. Fifteen to twenty minutes later, the server never came to check on us. We needed our drinks, tableware, salt and pepper,....
I tasted the "duck" pizza and it was quite spicy.
My husband ate a pizza which had absolutely no flavor...salt and pepper would have helped. It was cold by the time sal t& pepper finally arrived. The place was NOT BUSY..no excuse!
The manager did come over and he did comp the "duck" pizza. (($10.00) He did let me select another appetizer ($7.00) which he also comp'd. Now the wine which I believed to be on happy hour based on the bartender's explanation..was $4 off at happy hour...well
we were charged $8 per glass....and we were told that
imparticular wine was not on happy hour. This is after I ordered another glass because it was on happy hour.
The service was terrible and the food was terrible. The wine was very good....though you can buy a bottle for $10....they charge $8 a glass even at happy hour.
Would not ever go back!!!!!
Had dinner there tonight it was delightful!. The food was just delicious. I had the Jumbo Scallops best I've tasted in a long time! The wine selection was better than expected and reasonably priced and the service was very good as well!
Had a great lunch!. Had the Shrimp Cakes and Salad for lunch and it was just great. This place has an impeccable atmosphere with bright cheery wood decor. The new location just looks fabulous!
Just had a great Reuben Sandwich for lunch!. What an awesome looking place. The food was excellent and the service was very good. All in all good day at the restaurant. Can't wait to come back for happy hour
Chinook Tavern is opening soon!. Chinook Tavern is opening in DTC spring of 2011. New Address 6380 S. Fiddlers Green, Greenwood Village, CO 80111. Phone 720-266-6000. There new location is much bigger than old location in Cherry Creek. Their new web site is chinookdenver com. Stop by.
Best german food in the rockies. I lived in Cherry Creek for many years making this resturant my favorite and after several years I returned to the Chinook Tavern for my usual nice dinner, the owners are some of my favorite people and friendly as can be they are loads of fun with a welcoming attitude and the food is outstanding.
Blah. Chinook's atmosphere was whimsical grandma-like clutter. The menu was limited and the food just ok. Overall, it was just blah.
Excellent Food, Decent Service, Nice atmosphere.
Went there last night for a nice night out with my girlfriend. The food was excellent and delicious. The service wasn't bad, however considering with wine I am spending $200+ on dinner and wine for two I'd expect a little better service and a server who was a lot more friendly and upbeat.
Wasn't the romantic place I was hoping for, but wasn't bad either. The crowd tended to be a lot older, possibly because it was a Thursday night, not a Friday or Saturday. Overall terrific food, and a great place to go eat. Waitresses just need to cheer up and be more upbeat.
WOW!. Being able to sit in the bar area on a busy weekend night is usually unheard of! The Chinook Tavern had a large community table in the bar that was perfect for me and my girlfriends. The Wasabi crusted halibut was amazing! The bartender, Christopher even came out from behind the bar to wait on us and I haven't had such great service in a long time. We had a great time and are thinking of making it a regular stop for the "Wild Women"!!
