Best Cut and Highlight – I have been a happy client at Hair People for 14 years. Shelli is amazing when it comes to highlights. I don't know how she does it but they always look natural, even when growing out. She is great about listening to what I want and helps me find a cut and style that I love and can do myself. She always takes the time to show me new techniques and tricks I can do at home that help keep my style looking like it did when I walk out of the salon. The atmosphere at Hair People is welcoming and classy, just like the stylists that work there!
Great stylists, serene, elegant atmosphere – I've been coming to Hair People for about 5 years now and always left feeling and looking better than I came in. Most of the stylists have been there since way before I started coming - which I think says a lot about a salon. I enjoy the serene, elegant surroundings and find it a welcome change from some of the more frenetic salons I've gone to in the past. I love Hair People!
very nice salon – I had the pleasure of having my first appointment with Julia recently. I found this salon through a "Living Social" deal for a straightening treatment. I decided to take a chance and book a haircut along with the blowout. The salon is very nice and peaceful. Julia was very friendly and gave me a very nice cut and smoothing treatment. The other stylists seemed friendly and the atmosphere was nice and relaxing. Based on my experience yesterday, I would recommend this salon.
The salon is GREAT! I trust my hair to these people -- and you KNOW what that means! – I LOVE going to Hair People Salon! Ceria cuts my hair, and she's great. She's creative, yet not crazy. I know my hair is safe in her hands!! I travel a LOT -- and pretty much plan my travel so I can get back in time for my next cut/color. Who knows WHAT would happen to me if I let someone else do it! Ack!! I can't imagine! The people are friendly, the atmosphere is comfortable-and Maree always has delicious cookies to tempt me. I would recommend anyone in the shop. GO! And enjoy!
Warm, Friendly Salon – Hair People on 6th is a warm, friendly salon where the clients walk away with the feeling that they weren't just another haircut to the stylist.
I've experienced three of the stylists and have consistently left feeling completely satisfied with my cut and style.
The staff is great at feeling out each client and responding to each need individually. Feeling like you need to just zone out in the chair and not chat it up with the stylist? That's okay! They don't try to open your life's book just for the sake of talk. If you want to talk, the personable staff takes your lead on where you want to go with your conversations.
Whether you're seeing Ceria or Shellie, or one of the other fantastic girls, you'll be welcomed (by name) by all of the girls working. Very special!
Friendly Staff - Bad Cutting Skills – PROS: The overall vibe is nice and relaxing. The staff is friendly and the salon is visually appealing and clean.
CONS: Staff doesn't listen, Staff has an attitude when you ask them for seemingly simple and common requests. Staff cut too much hair off first - then asks questions. Disappointing.
As someone who has experienced quality haircutting for more than 20 years, I've come to learn a few things. One of which is... texturizing doesn't mean thinning shears and a good haircut does require an open-minded stylist who is willing to listen. There was absolutely no systematic cutting technique.
As a recent transplant to the Denver metro area, I had hoped that this was going to be my great "find" - a place where I had hoped to go back to for many years to come. Unfortunately, no. I figure you give a new stylist 3 attempts. My stylist "M" was friendly enough, and though I thought for certain I communicated exactly what I was looking for. She cut way too much hair off and I left with a haircut I would have expected from a "quick cuts" place. It was just horrible, there was no style to it whatsoever, it was just a basic cut with a not so basic price. But I thought it would get better...
The second visit started off well enough, she was friendly, asked me again what I wanted. I thought for certain a good cut was going to grace my head - but again - not so much. Again, I received a (too) short haircut that was too basic for the price. A simple request for removing bulk was executed in a very elementary manner - thinning shears. The finished haircut was well below average.
For an above average price cut, people should expect and receive more than this. This salon has a reputation based on family members who longer work in the salon. If you go there, I encourage you to take photos and be very specific about what you want. Hopefully you'll have better success than I did. I won't go back for the a third try.
The Best in Denver – I've been a client at Hairpeople for 23 years. They are always on top of the latest styles, products and ideas in hair care. What never changes is the relaxed atmosphere, the careful personal attention, and the professional skills of the stylists. I can count on being seen on time. Coffee, tea, cookies and fresh flowers make the atmosphere feel welcoming and indulgent. I look forward to going there because it is consistently a pleasant experience and I always feel so pampered.
Best cut in Denver! – This is the best place toget a hair cut in Denver!
