Denver >Fitness > Focus Gyms
This gym is truly the best gym I have ever come across. The trainers look amazing and have so much knowledge on fitness and health issues. I felt there was nothing I couldn't tell them, that they had not dealt with already. Not only are the trainers built but, they are smart as hell to boot. In six weeks my body went from 17 percent body fat, down to 12. I started to see muscles I didn't even know existed in my body. The workouts were curtailed specifically for me and they put me on a diet plan that I love. I have never been this fit in my life. I am so impressed with this gym and their fitness program that I will never give it up .O.K. I'll admit it, I am addicted! I only work out four times a week to get the results I want. Timmy Lee, the owner, is dedicated to his clients, gives you reasonable goals and is the most motivational trainer I have ever encountered. My experience is so much more positive than I had at Cherry Creek Athletic Club. I had no idea that working with Timmy Lee and his exceptional trainers could make such a difference. If you are looking to get results and get them fast, then you MUST call focus gym and get in right away. They consult you, focus on what works for you, help you create goals and set up a workout routine that is fun and never monotonous. I seriously had to make myself work out, now I can't wait. It is a true treat and learning experience. I have not had this much confidence in my body in years. I can't believe I look better then I did in college. I thought that would be impossible!!
I highly recommend Focus Gyms to anyone who is looking not only to change their body but their life. Professional Trainers provide their clients with a variety of effective workouts, specially fit to your personal goals. Trainers are great support and motivation. They are able to develop a program specific to your needs. They are able to help you get stronger & better. If you are looking to get in the better shape, ready to put your trust in good hands go visit Focus Gyms. .
Pure Adrenaline. Hairy12345, whats up, too bad for you. I love Focus, most people know them for being a results oriented gym. Not live up to their standards buddy? Im proud to be with this gym. The trainers rock...and are built like chisled rock, not like the ones I see at these warehouse type gyms. My trainer...the owner is a competitive bodybuilder and dared to put his gym in the middle of these huge corp. gyms and has succeeded the test of time. I get a phenomenal w/o that always is different and challenging. Im over 40 and plan on competing soon. Timmy Lee, Che,Laurette,Walter, and the rest of the team are a blast and fun. I like 24 hr as well, but only for the people watching and their members appproaching me to train them....What an ego boost.
My experience at Focus Gym has been nothing but positive. They take the time to listen to my needs and the goals I want to accomplish. They are friendly and knowledgable about muscle groups and workouts.
Ive had personal trainers before but nothing compares to the trainers here. The environment is laid-back and they make it fun, but they keep me accountable for hitting the weights and progressing me. At times I can barely lift my arms or walk down the stairs after my workouts, but I love it !!
The prices are the cheapest around for personal trainers, and I feel like they really care about the feedback I give them. They always seem to make my schedule work, even when I have to re-schedule due to meetings at work or kids' school.
Being a female I was afraid of building too much muscle and looking masculine, but thats not the case. They talked with me about the importance of nutrition and cardio, and I dont hit "the girly" weights here. I feel the strongest I've ever been and I'm cut, lean and I feel sexy !
Its fun to turn heads when I go grocery shopping, and I have the trainers at Focus Gym to thank!
Thank You Focus Gym Trainers !
You guys rock !
I'd recommend them to anyone who is serious about training...you can do it with their help !
run from focus gym to 24 its right down the street. what can i say about focus gym they rip people off the place smells like crap and now they have the marijuana down stairs so i cant imagine now what the place smells like so new people who are interested should stay away the owner is all lies so don't let him talk you into signing into that crap gym the place is always dead i am still shocked the place is still open anyways 24 hour is the place to be now its cheap i can go when ever i want and its down the street
No B.S. Just the body you always wanted.
The place is right on a corner with huge posters hanging off it so it is easy to find. Don't be discouraged by the medical marijuana signs. They rent out the space on the first floor. The gym is on the second floor.
The machines are in great shape. You can tell Tim puts in care to keep the most important part of his gym in order.
You start out with measurements and a consultation with Tim or one of his trainers. You set your fitness goals and get to work. Within a few days, you'll get a diet plan to go with your workouts.
I had personal trainers before from bigger gyms but none of them have been like this. Tim knows how to get you into shape and before you speak with anyone, just look around the place. There are pictures of him in competitions and trophies all over.
This place is truly a unique experience and you will get results. However, this is a gym, not a magic genie. How good of results you get totally depends on you and a lot of it will come to your diet as that is 80% of any fitness regime you take on.
I find it motivational to come in the gym and know that someone is watching me. Looking to see if you are making progress. Tim's watchful eye notices even slight changes in your body and it helps keep you honest on your diet.
As he likes to say, "Your body is a wall and I am the wrecking ball. We have to break you down and build you back up stronger and better than before."
I'm a believer.
Can't imagine working out anywhere else!.
My husband and I have been clients at Focus Gym for over 2 years. Everyday for over a year my husband drove past the gym on his way to work. We were expecting our first child in 2007 and he decided he wanted to change his life before our daughter was born. He started in October of 2007 and we both started noticing changes in him very quickly.
Our daughter was born in December 2007 and as soon as I had the ok from the doctor I started at Focus Gym. I was so jealous of how great my husband was looking; I didn't want to be his fat wife. I'm going to be honest... At first I was really nervous to workout with a personal trainer. I was so self-conscious; I had weight on top of the baby weight I had to lose and I was afraid that a personal trainer would judge me for being fat. After my first workout I realized I had no reason to be nervous about working out with a trainer because the trainers at Focus Gym really care and want to help their clients achieve whatever goals they might have. I am so happy with the changes in my body and my confidence. I couldn’t have done it without the trainers at Focus Gym!
Like I mentioned before we have been clients for over 2 years. The workouts are never the same, they are still challenging and lots of fun! Focus Gym has become a home away from home for both my husband and I and the trainers have become like family to us. I can't imagine working out with any other trainers or at any other gym!
Life Changing Experience.
I'm not going to try and sell you. I'm just going to tell you about the motivation I gained and life change that I went through while attending Focus Gym.
I walked into Focus Gym at the end of my rope. Depressed, unmotivated and tired. I was in the worst shape of my life. Doing the worst habits I could to my body. Honestly, I weighed 274lbs. I'm 6'2". I went into the gym, ready and willing, to change. That is the key to any life style change. You need to WANT it, and you need the WILL to gain it. You can spend all the money in the world to get it but if you aren't ready to work then you won't make any gains in the gym.
That's what the personal trainers at the gym are there to do. Give you a push to make the gain. They set you up with a diet plan. One that is catered to you, not out of a book. They work with you to make sure you stay on your diet. It not only hurts YOU when you slip up on the diet but when you tell the trainers that it actually feels as if it hurts them too. It feels like a special bond with them.
Within the first month of working with my trainer, Lifting three times a week and doing cardio five times a week, I lost 20lbs. Within the 7 months I was at the gym, I lost a total of about 80lbs. I feel Amazing. I credit this gym with showing me what I needed to know and pushing me to make the gains I wanted. Granted it takes more than them working with you to make gains. You need to devote yourself to it. They just push you to get the maximum amount of work and change your body can do.
Best Gym in Denver.
Ok, I don't work there, and I am Awesome! I feel GREAT! and I'm more confident.
Within 2 months I have lost 20lbs of fat, lost 2 belt knotches of fat, my body shape has changed, and my strength from my youth is returning at a rapid pace. I will admit I have slipped up on my meals and yet I keep on plugging along.
In my opinion of spending thousands of dollars on personal training at other gyms, with canned routines. Focus is more affordable and you are able to keep intense workouts without being interupted and the trainers actually care about you. I've paid a few thousand dollars and just didn't have the same results.
I am a guy, and yes my trainer has touched me, only to make sure my form is correct, the right muscle group is being worked, and how deep to go on the lift for my safety and for maximum results. He won't let me half-ass my workout, which is why I pay him to kick my butt in the gym.
Teamwork, I have seen nothing but great teamwork within the gym, not only from trainers, but also from other members who workout there, are all postive and encourage one another.
I'm unsure of the smell, I've grown up around gyms, around girls softball players, wrestlers, and other sports and gyms and I am unsure of the smell? To me it's called hard work and effort which some people don't do.
I'm excited and hope to see you around!
