Denver >Kate's At 35th Ave
A Perfect Place for Sunday Brunch. The outside patio is filled with flowers - a beautiful, shady place to have a relaxing brunch. The food was delicious -- everything was fresh and beautifully presented.
Nothing special. We went to Kate's on 35th for lunch about a month ago and found the food to be nothing special. The food was merely okay and way overpriced. I do not mind paying extra for organic, fresh foods if prepared well and in interesting ways, but there was nothing special or tasty about the chile relleno (their most popular dish) that I had. It was actually pretty boring (more like a quiche) and hardly had ANY spice to it. The portion size was also very small for a restaurant. I felt full enough, but several others were still hungry after their meals. I won't be going back as I did not feel the money was worth the rather bland food.
Excellent customer service. Kate's is my favorite lunch spot in Denver. A great place to take your boss! The food is always delicious, I have gone there for years and never had a complaint. The menu is constantly updated but holds on to my classic favorites as well. Great for a large buisness lunch or an intimate lunch for two. Don't miss the Texas Chocolate Cake!!!
This old Victorian serves well-prepared meals, country charm and dose of mystery..
The old house has small rooms downstairs and upstairs is full of tables. Many visitors come early to get a seat downstairs, where large windows flood the room with sunlight and art packs the walls. The menu features wholesome, organic fare prepared with a touch of fine country dining. Favorites includesherb-roasted chicken, oven-roasted salmon with a balsamic glaze, an open-faced Portobello mushroom sandwich, and always something vegan.
Great Breakfast!. Kate's is a great place to get away from chain-restaurant breakfasts. The cozy victorian house makes you feel right at home and the staff is always inviting. The menu is changed daily and written on a board once you enter. (Decide before you are seated...that was your menu.) Bonus-breakfasts normally come with a great fresh-baked muffin--they are wonderful.
