poor service.
Live around the corner, called ahead to get on the list like we always do, usually no problem. We arrive in the 5 minutes we said we would, unfortunately behind another couple. They told the couple ahead of us it would be 10 minutes, they told me and my wife it would be 25 - 30 minutes even though I explained we were ahead of them, and I was looking at a couple empty 2 tops. All the hostess could muster was, "I'm sorry, a bunch of people came in." That was the WRONG answer. We did not stay. We went to the Walnut Room for some great pizza and beer.
Our experience prior to this was only so-so. Waiter forgetting stuff, namely the food. It's going downhill fast. We only go here because it's literally around the corner. Sad, sad, sad.
Beware when you get your credit card statement. The food is mediocre, the service slow, and on top of that they added $3 extra dollars on my Visa receipt. I had to dispute the card in order to get my money back. Check your credit card statement before you pay your bills, who knows how many times they have done that before.
What a cute location!. While recently vacationing in Denver form NY, I passed by this cute little corner restaurant on the way to the zoo. I decided to stop in with my 2 children for dinner ( after we visited the playground kitty corner from it! How convienent!) I am glad to say we were not disappointed. So cute inside and the kids love it. Plenty of crayons to keep them busy! I ordered the house Pasta Felese which was out of this world! Our waiter was so friendly with the kids and they loved the spaghetti and meatballs! I coming back, with my neighbors kids!
salmonis perfect in basil pesto sauce best spinach outside of Italy. Our experience at the Cherry Tomato has been terrific both times we have eaten there. We are always looking for Italian restaurants with great food and service. This is it.! The food is always hot and very tatsty. The service is wonderful. We lived in Italy and we can say this is real Italian food. We will continue to go back especially for the great salmon and spinch. WE highly recommend this fun little restaurant.
Friendly neighborhood restaurant. They welcome kids. Wonderful food and service. Great ambiance.. My husband and I have taken friends and out of town family there to dine often, and they always want to go back. The owners and staff are very knowledgeable about wines. The marinara sauce is tops. The chef does wonders with fish. Pasta Felese is to drool over. Chicken Picatta is the best I've ever eaten. I've never experienced bad service. I even had the pleasure of witnessing a young man proposing to his sweetheart one night. Everyone cheered when she said "Yes." You feel like part of a large, loving family when you dine there. And, the food is delicious.
great italian food. my friends and i love the cherry tomato every italian dish is greatnever been dispointed in anything we eat there love the music and the service was great. very good family restaurant.. great choice of wine and drinks val .
Simply Wonderful. My family and friends frequent the Cherry Tomato for its fine Italian cuisine and have never been disappointed. The service is impeccable as are the wonderful dishes they offer! Great first date restaurant. Great family restaurant. They treat you like royalty!
Consistently Great, Friendly Service and Food. We frequently choose the Cherry Tomato for dinner for two or to take the family. They never disappoint. The arrabbiata is outstanding! The Italian chef prepares traditional and authentic Italian dishes. We love it all!!!
Wonderful experience!!. I absolutely LOVE the Cherry Tomato!! The food is incredible. Everything I have had there was awesome and you can tell it was made with the heart and soul of the chef!! I am Italian myself, so I am very choosy about Italitan food, the Cherry Tomato goes above and beyond my expectations of quality, excellent, Italian food.
Worst Lasagna EVER!. I went to The Cherry Tomato on Saturday night and ordered the meat lasagna while my wife ordered the cheese tortellini. The tortellini was mediocre at best as other reviewers have mentioned - way too much garlic in the red sauce. The lasagna, however, was horrible. The inside of the lasagna contained no sauce and was so dry I found the entire eating experience to be mouth-puckering. The small amount of sauce provided on top of the lasagna was so salty I could not even eat it. I honestly drank 6 glasses of water with the meal. I've eaten a lot of lasagna in my life and this was by far the worst. I would compare the quality of this lasagna to a cafeteria's lasagna that has been sitting under the heating lights for 3 hours and you happened to get the last burned corner piece. In addition the server was completely disinterested in our table and my concerns about the lasagna. I do not recommend the Cherry Tomato unless you like bad food and bad service.
