Meh. This is not the place to go for a good Greek salad. I'm always on the look-out for a Greek salad for lunch, so my coworkers and I stopped in here last week and each got one. I ordered the traditional Greek salad with souvlaki for about $10.

I'll start with the positives: they give you a huge slab of feta cheese on top of the salad, not just feta crumbles like most places. Tthe salad is gigantic. The veggies (aside from the olives) were fresh.

The cons: the salad dressing is very sweet, not a typical vinegar-y Greek dressing (more like a sweet Italian dressing) and I didn't like it at all. The souvlaki was cooked to the point of shoe leather texture and was also very fatty. I ended up with lots of leftover meat on the side of my plate that was just inedible either because I couldn't chew it, or because it was all fat.

The service was also meh, as our dreadlocked waitress kept interrupting my conversation with her $.02 on what she thought I was talking about, which wasn't even what we were discussing. She did the same at the next table over. I doubt we'll be back. So far, Melita's on Logan has the best Greek Salad for the money, IMO.

Straight out of Kitchen Nightmares!. Went to MBFGC with my family. I ordered the Fisherman's salad which was said to have crab meat, shrimp, kalamata olives, and the usual veggies. Bad enough that they had been misleading in the use of the word "crab" but the artificial (K)crab meat had obviously been frozen and defrosted minutes before they tossed it on my salad. It was still half frozen. There were 4 tiny little beat-up looking shrimp buried under the mound of half frozen Krab and 3 kalamata olives. The tomatoes were unripe and hard and comprised most of the salad. No dressing, just olive oil. The WORST salad I've ever had. I removed the Krab meat and asked to have a grilled chicken breast instead. I was informed that it would be awhile. Hmmm, I wonder why? Because they were DEFROSTING a chicken breast to grill up for me. I don't usually feel compelled to write reviews on restaurants but in this case I felt it important to let people know what they're getting when they go to My Big Fat Greek Cafe based on my experience.

Best Greek Food in Denver!. Everything is fresh and homemade. I've tried many other Greek restaurants and will now eat Greek food only there. I can't wait to go back and get take out . I hear if you go Friday and Saturday nights the owner is there and is really friendly.
