Terrible experience
by applebank
Stella's was a terrible experience last night. The line was out the door all night long and the baristas were working very slowly, chatting with people, etc. The back room was burning hot so I requested the AC be turned on, and the barista said he would do it but never did. Worst of all, the wireless internet was not working. It will be a long time before I go back again for the privelege of paying $2.50 for a cup of tea to sit in a sweltering hot room without the wireless service that was the whole reason I came in the first place.
- Pros: very social, happening neighborhood
- Cons: Wireless not working, slow service, sweltering heat
My favorite coffe shop
by aloesby
I love Stella's. It has a very friendly atmosphere - everyone who works there is friendly and personable, as is pretty much everyone who stops by regularly. My friend and I go every friday night and have made quite a few friends. The artwork that is displayed is fun, and for sale. There is live music every weekend. The coffe itself is very good - the tea selection is massive - and the pastries are delicious. Stella's isn't five-star by any means, but the atmosphere is laidback and comfortable - you feel as though you are sitting in your own living room. I highly recomend Stella's for a quiet night out with friends.
Cood Coffee, Cool Ambiance, Free Internet
by chefkovac
This is my new favorite coffee house. Not only is it walking distance from me, they also have great coffee drinks. The house has several rooms with tables, couches, and chairs which give it a great at home feel. The free internet keeps me there for hours sucking down more coffee. Great place to camp out on a rainy day, just don't forget your computer or a book.
- Pros: Couches and Free Internet
- Cons: Sometimes difficult to order when it's busy
