Just a block off the University of Denver campus, this eatery is often beset with throngs of college kids looking for a bite after a night of club hopping. After all, nothing chases away a hangover like chicken shwarma or baba ghanouj. The best dish is the combination, which consists of falafel, hummus, baba ghanouj, gyros, chicken shwarma, stuffed grape leaves, couscous and rice. Most dishes well-represent the seasoning of the Mediterranean.

the last person who just wrote that is an absolute idiot. you should not even be allowed to live on this earth. get a new life. this is the best food. you are just a waste of space.

Former DU kid here and I used to love this place. Yes its a sore to the eye if you sit down and dine but the food always came out great. Having moved back to Denver I started going in again and don't know if the management changed but it just ain't the same. The food is still good if you know what to get. The kebabs are usually dry-stick to gyros. Let the waiter/waitress know ahead that you want the food warm and the pita warm. Gyros is the best in town and the I can eat the rice by itself. Baba ghanough has a nice smoky flavor. Their arabic coffee hits the spot. Service is so-so, depends what mood the staff is in-excpet for that one gorgeous gal behind the counter who used to work there-petite thing with beautiful dark eyes who always got my order right and did so with a smile. Hell I would dine in and get my butt frozen if she still worked there. lol

I like the fact Jerusalems is located near a college campus. They close LATE which means you can satisfy your craving anytime of day. I've eaten there once, every other time I get it to go and eat at home with family & friends.

You'll find no libations here, which is fine, since most folks straggle in after their local watering hole's closing time.

Limited parking is available next door.
Where to Sit:
Due to the steady flow of diners, the restaurant has expanded twice, adding enclosed patios. They're best during nice weather, but both of are fairly cramped.
