affordable, fast, love the chicken gyros. I love this restaurant because its within my budget and they are the only restaurant I've been to that makes a chicken gyros like they do. I'm not into their hommos, but love their baba ghanouj and falafel. Its a great place and the food is consistent.

Great after hours food. If you have been to the middle east before this is the resteraunt for you! The food is pretty darn close the the resteraunts you would find in the Red Light district of Amsterdam, or the party town of Eindhoven, Holland. After spending hours in the coffeshops or the bars and clubs of Holland there are many resterants like as this one in Denver. It has a wide aray of differnt quizines from Isreael, Egypt, Turkey, and Greece. Although people have complained about the cleanliness of this place, it is pretty darn clean compared with resteraunts of the same kind in the countries that I mensioned above. I highly recommend they gyros plate, and the baklava. Watch out for drunken DU Hockey players, and Denver Broncos late at night they like to start fights out side of the resteraunt.

Just a block off the University of Denver campus, this eatery is often beset with throngs of college kids looking for a bite after a night of club hopping. After all, nothing chases away a hangover like chicken shwarma or baba ghanouj. The best dish is the combination, which consists of falafel, hummus, baba ghanouj, gyros, chicken shwarma, stuffed grape leaves, couscous and rice. Most dishes well-represent the seasoning of the Mediterranean.

Very good Middle Eastern food. Open until 4 or so.. Jerusalem has very excellent cuisine with decent atmosphere. My only gripe is that the restaurant is small and kind of dirty. Watch out for drunk DU students. Overall an excellent dining experience.

Nothing to eat. My brother-in-law suggested your restaurant. We had to be elsewhere by 7 p.m. We arrived before 6 p.m. I ordered soup and kallayah. I didn't care for the soup but my son did, so he finished mine. The others got and ate their entrees while mine was forgotten. By then, it was almost 7 and I left having had no supper and only an insincere apology.

So good but never right. I've been going to Jerusalem for years for take out and I hit the wall last Tuesday when for the zillionth time, I got home and my order was wrong or incomplete. The staff are friendly, the food is excellent, but if you're not eating in (which leaves something to be desired in the atmosphere department), don't eat at all. Jerusalem keeps winning 'Best Of Take Out' awards, and my contention is that a restaurant in that category should be able to get the order right!!!

Bad service, but worth it. This place made me start liking falafel. The service is absolutely horrible, but it seems worth it. Perhaps more take out is in my future, though, after today. Their fatoush is okay, but a lovely contrast to the falafel. The dinner plates are gigantic and the sandwiches are a little small--I suggest sharing appetizers if you're staying there.

Realistically Speaking. Having read the other reviews, each says something true about Jerusalem. If you are hungry in the wee hours of the night, it's fantastic! It's so different from everything else around campus. Also, you definately get your money's worth. Lots of food for Little cash. It is true that the wait staff can be less the attentive and sometimes, dare i say it rude, does it really matter? I think not. I tell everyone i know that they should go to Jerusalem, once at least. To me the best part about Jerusalem is the people watching. There is nothing better than watching drunk 19 year old stumbling around and pigging out on highly satisfying food at 2:30 in the morning.

WOW!. It is not an upscale restaurant, and crowd mostly consists of local students. It is opened all night, food is delicious, but not if you are health freak. And you can meet intelligent people, and have an actual conversation!

User review by leb515. I used to be a big fan of this place up until a year ago when my 8yr old son and i witnessed the manager screaming at a customer in the middle of the restaurant. She was upset with her order and he refused to comp her meal - not only he was he disrespectful to her he let 3 of his employess join in the bashing. I will never go back
