meh. Wasn't too impressed with anything about this place. It's in a decent location for S. Denverites in the DU or S. Pearl St. areas. But there's no reason to go here with so many other, palatable, options in the neighborhood. The food is borderline disgusting. The beer is fine, but it's not really possible to mess up a beer. I don't think my dishes were clean, and you can see right into a cluttered, dirty kitchen area from about half of the restaurant. If you're in the mood for cajun, there are tons of better options. If you're coming to drink because its down the street, maybe you'll have better luck. But maybe not because the service is pretty poor, too.
Awful experience!. Horrible, horrible experience. Slow wait staff with poor attitudes. Filthy restaurant. Extremely sub-par cajun food. Hadn't heard great things, but decided to give it a try anyways, as it's in the neighborhood. Wish we hadn't. We'll never be back.
Authentic Southern Louisiana WT Cajun Food, Live Music 4 Days a Week, Diverse Crowd. Lincoln's is a pretty unassuming venue, hailing from the south side of Buchtel on I-25 and Pearl, this neighborhood/ biker bar serves up excellent, authentic southern LA Cajun (not the kind you get in a restaurant but the kind your grandma makes) food? Live music Wednesday (Open Mic), Friday, Saturday nights and Sunday, Lincoln?s brings a little more of LA to CO than just with Piorrier?s cuisine. For a LA-boasting themed restaurant/bar I am somewhat disappointed in their selection of LA-brewed beers ?there are many- namely Abita and Dixie - currently there are none available. Their gumbo and fried shrimp po-boy are to die for. Sometimes they can skimp on the gumbo but I?ve learned to ask if I feel I am getting the bottom of the tureen. I might be picky but hey I like what I like and I?m paying for it. The bands playing are always good and good for dancing. I highly recommend this place for diverse crowds, live music, cheap, tasty eats and first dates. Parking can be a bit of a problem as this is mostly neighborhood and not much business, but a little walk will help you burn off the fried crawfish tails you will feel the need to order before you leave.
