Beware - unprofessional and unethical.
I want to write to anyone considering getting a loan through this branch of US Bank. I have been a loyal customer to US Bank for several years and recently received an auto loan through them. What a mess. First of all, the loan officer somehow "missed" that the vehicle was leased and also that taxes were owed on the vehicle so therefore it can not be registered. They said this was my fault that the owner did not disclose this to me, even though US bank had the paperwork indicating it was a leased vehicle. I called my loan officer trying to register the car for months, and now the registration is run out and this is found out. To make a long story short, I have a vehicle that I can't drive because it can't be registered, I have already made several payments on it, and ended up having to pay the taxes for the last owner so the title could be released. Not to mention I had to rent a vehicle until this one can be registered.
Guess what US Bank did to make it better.
NOTHING. Absolutely NOTHING.
Beware if you are thinking of getting a loan through them. They don't do their leg work to find out about the title, and in my opinion this is unethical and unprofessional. I will be moving to another bank due to this experience. I hope it never happens to another person.
