Another Great meal and experience!!! Just returned from Carl's, it was another great meal and experience as usual. I wanted order something new, but could not stray from my favorite pizza. There sausage and sauce are the keys.



Come on get up and get out and give Carl's a shot!!!!

I LOVE Carl's! My Family and I have eaten there for 40+ years! We eat there every time we eat take out or delivery! Even their HAMBURGERS are FANTASTIC! Love it, and recommend it to EVERYONE!! It is VERY North Denver, everyone who works there has ties to the place since it's start! Love Carl's!!

Been going to Carl's for years!. The service has always been great, and the food is delicious.

Its an old North Denver pizza house...I don't know what is wrong with the other spoiled folks who have reveiwed this small restaurant.

Seems to be highly favored by those who live in the neighborhood...(which I don't).

We love Carl's!

worst service. What a dump. I order pizza and it was burnt. The service was slow and place has not been remodeled since it open

Best Pizza in North Denver..Hands down. I am biased of course,since my family has been eating there for over 40 years,plus my Dad worked there in high school.Yes the atmosphere is old...but it is not pretentious like most pizza places seem to be these day,its not fake it is what it is!Carl recently passed away and it is now in new hands,it is small and Carl never cared about the profits just serving good pizza to a small loyal following!The wait has always been long,we learned a long time ago to call ahead,if you have ever eaten pizza like this anywhere else you would know that as well,Chicago style does take awhile.I have never experienced any bad service,nor noticed anything wrong with the cleanliness of the restaurant.I live in Texas now and still crave Carl's all the time,there is nothing here that compares!

I got sick from eating here. I recently visited Carls and was a little concerned about the cleanliness of the restaurant. It's a small restaurant, it was crowded, and very hot. We sat right near the kitchen, which looked less than pristine. The cook was wiping sweat from his forehead very near to his hands. We ordered salads, cheese sticks, and a pizza. the salads weren't very fresh, the cheese sticks were O.K., and the pizza didn't set well with my stomach. And 20 minutes later it all came back up after we had left the restaurant. So beware, there is something not quit right at Carls. You may be the next to get sick from their food.

OLD FASHIONED, BRING BACK MEMORIES GOOD TASTING PIZZA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Carls Pizza is one of the best tasting pizzas in the denver area, It definitly lacks atmosphere, and the service is not the best. But if you want pizza that acually tastes like PIZZA. This is the place. For those of you who remember the old BOBS pizza in southwest Denver. The pizza tastes very close . The reason is that Bob and Carl (both desceased) were 1/2 brothers. We drive all the way from Highlands Ranch to enjoy this pizza and will continue to untill they open a CARLS ON THE SOUTH SIDE !!! HA HA ENJOY

Horrible service!. It is friday night and we ordered our pizza over 1 hour 1/2. Called to find out if it was on the way the woman said she had no ticket for our ordered! We gave a credit card number to please check to see if we got charged. She comes back and says she found the order but forgot to place it. NO APOLOGY, nothing. Will never ordered from this place again!

Worst Delivery Service Ever. Decent Pizza. We decided to order a pizza from Carl's at 8:45 pm on a Saturday Night. Now, I am sure they were extremely busy with it being the weekend and a Bronco's game in progress. We were given no estimated delivery time. We waited until 10:00 pm before we called again to find out the status of our order. The lady told me only that it was "on the way" before she hung up on me. The pizzas finally arrived at about 10:15. The driver made no mention of the wait, did not offer an apology, nor did he thank us for the fairly decent tip (which would have been more had I seen my dinner in under an hour and a half). I opened the boxes to finally eat and the pizzas were BURNT. Now, I am not talking burnt as in a well-done bake, I am talking BURNT as in unedible foodstuff that was black with carbon. They even smelled burnt. I called back and the manager got on the phone. He asked for the address and said he would be "right over." We live about three minutes away. We waited until 11:00 before I decided to drive over and get our money back. The manager offered no apology and made no effort to smooth the situation over. He handed me cash and walked into the back. That was it! To top it off the new pizzas weren't even on the way. I can only imagine that they were going to keep our money, leave us with a burnt dinner, and hope the issue would be dropped. My advise, pick your pizza up and check in the store. The food is pretty good, but I will never deal with them again. There are too many good pizza places in north denver (i.e. Parisi's, Proto's, Gaetano's, etc...) to deal with this level of customer service.

Excellent Pizza. My dad happened upon Carl's Italian Restaurant en route to Elitch Gardens when I was a child in the early seventies. It became our pizza haven after every trip the the amusement park, and now, after living in North Denver most of my life, it is by far my favorite pizza in town. Not because it tastes like some great rip-off of Chicago or New York pies, but because it's like no other pizza I've ever eaten. The sauce is spicy, the crust flour-y and crisp, and the toppings are always fresh. There's something to be said about originality, a trait you'll find in abundance at Carl's.
