For more than 40 years, Carl Digiacomo's humble northwest Denver restaurant has pleased local Italian-food lovers.. In Short Low-priced, working-class cuisine of Chicago-style pizza, pasta and sandwiches. The pies come with a crunchy medium-thick crust and are available in 30 versions-- from basic cheese to pineapple and ham. Spaghetti and ravioli are popular, and the Carl Special delivers a dose of both, along with a meatball, sausage and dessert.
After over 50 years in business, there must be something going right here.
This is just a simple, blue collar Italian restaurant. Nothing fancy, but it's clean and the food is superior. I took my best friend's future in-laws (Italians from Chicago) here and they were very impressed with the pies.
My recommendation here is to get the Italian Sausage, either on a pizza or as a sandwich. It's homemade and packed with flavor.
