Pirate: A Contemporary Art Oasis opened in Denver as an audacious and eclectic alternative, cooperative gallery. Now just Pirate, it's an institution that remains flexible and edgy. The gallery is located in the heart of the Highlands neighborhood. Pirate's large, airy main gallery is an excellent staging area for group and special shows; meanwhile, the smaller Ilk and Treasure Chest galleries allow new and little-known artists a chance to be seen.
