Editorial Review for Zen Center of Denver – by Mary Morley
In Short
The center's neoclassical building appears imposing from the outside, but the window-filled interior is peaceful. Members in brown robes can often be found sitting cross-legged in silent meditation, or zazen, which is the center's primary practice. On occasion, the center also offers lessons, meditation retreats, chanting, ceremonies and social functions. The public is invited to join in zazen on Tuesday and Thursday nights; weekday tours can also be arranged.

For the serious to the curious, the Zen Center has something for all. I wonder, though, if Mary Morley was ever actually at the Zen Center? We (I'm a member) don't wear maroon robes. They're brown. At any rate, it's a wonderful place to go if you're searching for a little peace and quiet (good luck!) or are just curious about Zen Buddhism or meditation in general. Members welcome guests and instruction is available for those who would consider traveling this path. See you there! Gassho.
