Great food, Great Service - You can go wrong. I have eaten at La Cocinita several times over the past few years and I must say their food is really good. They take great care at making everything fresh and delicious! Definitely worth the drive to Sloans Lake area.

Hella Cheap, Damn Good. I've been here a few times with friends, and every time I'm overwhelmed by the amount of food you get for your buck. As others have said on here, decor and cleanliness aren't really their specialty...neither are the Margaritas.. they taste like tequila and water. But the food is second to none for the price!

All my friends agree... the best Carnitas in Denver!. Not the prettiest place in the world, but the food is the best. Hands down the best. I can't tell you how good the Carnitas are... and the Chips and Salsa! Highly Recommended.

Best Mexican "Hole in the Wall". I came here for lunch one day after a recommendation from my instructor. I have to admit, I dislike dives like this where you have to seat yourself once a table is open (and hopefully cleaned off) and I dare not go into the restroom, but the food is pretty good, especially for the price...CHEAP!! The service is terrible and so is the decor and cleanliness at times. Mexican beer signs, neon lights, fake parrot hanging from the ceiling...it?s great for a good laugh though. Block that from your mind and just focus on the inexpensive food and you will do just fine. This is definitely not a hip joint in LODO or Uptown, but when I want authentic Mexican food at an affordable price I come here.
