Denver >Metro Taxi INC
Dishonest, Rude, STOLE FROM ME.
Took a cab from Broomfield to Denver. Driver said he knew where he was going, took me 20 mins out of the way. He also said he would accept credit. Upon getting to my house, he was angry because I did not have enough cash. He also would not reduce the cab fare based on the "detour" he took.
After all this, I accidentally left my wallet in his cab. I ended up with 100s of dollars of charges on my credit card, all at a gas station that same night.
Do not use this cab company. I cannot stress this enough. There are plenty of other options in Denver. Union Cabs is much better and honest.
Horrible service, should have its license REVOKED.
Why is there not a zero star option? Because this AWFUL company is far worse than the "Eh" represented by one star. I will NEVER waste my time calling Metro Taxi again.
I called for a ride from my home in Park Hill -- just a couple of miles from downtown -- shortly at 11:49 p.m. After 15 minutes, I stood outside. I watched as a Metro Taxi stopped in front of a house on my street about 300 feet away and sit there for about three minutes. I figured the driver was in the wrong place and would call me in a minute. Didn't happen. The cab drove off. Okay...
About five minutes later Metro called me to apologize for the delay. I mentioned the other cab, and the dispatcher said it was unrelated. Fair enough. I accepted this in a polite and understanding fashion. She said she'd try to get someone there soon. That was at 12:15 a.m.
I keep standing around.
At 12:52 a.m. I called and asked what the hell was going on. A different phone representative apologized, said they'd repost the call, make it high priority, it all depends on who's in the area, blah blah.
I told him it was just seven minutes short of an hour since I called, could they do whatever they could to get someone here in the next 5-10 minutes? Does that seem so unreasonable?
He told me that "honestly, the chances are slim." What a JOKE. I was looking forward to a quick nightcap, and this horrible service completely ruined it.
This isn't a one-time thing, either -- I waited for a Metro cab a couple of weeks ago for virtually 45 minutes, and that was at Colfax and Vine, close to the heart of the city.
Their system is horrible, their service is atrocious, and though both phone representatives certainly were polite, that doesn't do me the slightest bit of good.
The only reason I ever called Metro was because its phone number is easy to remember, but I'm putting the other companies' numbers in my phone and NEVER CALLING THIS AWFUL COMPANY AGAIN. It is supposed to be providing a public service, and it sure as hell is not. The city should pull the company's license and put these jerks out of business.
WORST COMPANY EVER. I WILL NEVER Use THIS CAB COMPANY AGAIN! So i called a cab 13 degrees outside to pick up My 3 Year old daughter from School the meter read $3.50 When I got out of The cab to Run in and get my child when I came out after 2min the Meter Said $32.00?? WHAT? I Said this never costs more that 10 dollars and I had my 7 dollars in my hand he Ripped It from my hands and told me and my 3 year old in 13 degree weather to Walk in the snow and Drove off before he Drove off called Me a American Bi**ch he was Eastern Indian and Left me and my 3 Year old Stranded! DO YOUR SELF A FAVOR AND CALL YELLOW CAB! By the Way Corporate was just as rude!
Outstanding service! Feel safe at the same time!.
Consistently I use Metro Taxi to take me from Wash Park to the Down Town area to hang out with friends. I have only good things to say about the company and the drivers.
They always pick me up - they always bring me home, and sometimes it's in the green hybrids which I love.
Last weekend I went to a party down town, where the entrance was in an alley. There was a group of guys hanging out doing who-knows-what and the driver insisted on waiting for me to get in the building before he would leave.
Beyond rude, mean driver.
We called to get a cab this morning in Westminster and when the driver showed up the first thing out of his mouth is a complaint that he was dispatched from downtown Denver. Then he has the nerve to ask us if we had asked the dispatcher if their were any cabs in the area before they dispatched him.
Also, he asked us if we were paying by cash or credit. Apparently "credit" was not the answer he wanted because he threw a fit and said that we're only going down the road and it would be a five dollar fair. (By the way, it was over $10, but we refused to pay any more since he wouldn't except credit cards and we only had $10 on us). This really set me off since we already specified on the phone with the dispatcher that we would pay them, with a credit card.
I was very pissed out our driver and told him that he makes all cabbies look bad and that I would call and complain about him. THEN he decides to be nice.
metro taxi does not treat people with respect; they even complain about having to do their job. they do not want my business, so I will not give it to them anymore.
driver refused to give back change.
they came and got me at wheat ridge and took me to the denver coliseum because there was an event going on over there. when i got there, the fare was about 24.36, and i didnt have any other change so i gave him a 100.00 bill. when i asked him for change back, he ignored me and drove off.
do not call this company for anything!
All you need is a clue. I drove for Metro on and off since 1992,but no more. I quit in 05 for good,I thought....but went back earlier this month due to the economy. Got the physical, the license, did the class, the training, and oops no cabs to drive. "Denver's largest fleet",nearly 500 cabs, and none available. Been trying for 2 weeks. I made a pile of money for this company in the past, but since they dont want anymore of it from me,I'll go give it to someone else. It was a cool company to work for when it was locally owned.
Waited an hour and no service Dispatch hungup. On July 02/09 I waited one hour, and repeated calls to company. Concierge called too. Dispatcher hung up on me. I am not satisfied. Poor customer service skills.
can't complain. I was too drunk to drive home from Fiddler's Green, so I contacted a taxi company. I barely knew my exact location, but somehow 5 minutes later dude shows up. I had a pleasant ride all the way up north and felt at ease knowing I wasn't driving. I still needed to work the next day, so I called the same dude the next morning, he came to pick me up exactly when I said I needed to go and takes me back to my car at Fiddler's. That was $120 well spent and a smooth and pleasant cab riding experience. I definately give the driver extra props for being able to take me home and 5 hours later come back to pick me up again. I would highly recommend Metro Taxi. Thanks.
DO NOT GO WITH METRO CAB. June 24, 2009. I called metro cab, they showed up in a reasonable amount of time, the cabby was polite and courteous. we arrive at my house. i pay. not even 30 seconds after i get out of the cab i realize i left my cell in the cab. I ran inside grabed a phone and called the company barely 45 seconds later. apprx 30 mins later i finally talk to the cabby that picked me up and he wanted me to pay him 50$ to bring my phone back to me, mind you my ride only cost 13$. screw Metro cab company and i hope all who work for the company die a horrible, painful death. they lied, both cabby and dispatch, and to top it off, ruined my life.
