Denver >Yellow Cab
DON'T USE YELLOW in DENVER! Worst
service ever! I can't believe they are even in business! And don't even think, that if you leave something in the cab, that you will ever see it again. They live to rip people off. Not only do you sit on hold for 10 plus minutes just to order the ride, you may not even see them at all. And they will not call you to tell you that no cab will pick up your ticket. You will have to call 3 or 4 times just to get a straight answer if a cab is even coming at all. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CAB COMPANY. Complaining to a manager will get you nowhere. They just don't care...not at all.
.I am legally blind but I can still navigate and see a bit... If you are blind and they know it, they will take the longest route possible. I don't know how they live with themselves. They are all the same at Yellow.
Since then I call Metro or South Suburban Taxi or few local independents. ...much better.
At Metro, you can at least pick one that you like and usually get his direct number to use him again. ...and most of them speak ENGLISH!!!
ADA protects the interests of the disabled and our companion animals. Do not, again, fail to pick me up, when (and because) I have told you I have a service dog with me. The law does not require me to produce my dog's identification or credentials (although I always do.) If you hire immigrants from other countries, fine, be sure they know the law.
PICK ANOTHER CAB COMPANY ...if you want
a cab to pick you up. We made reservatoins via the web several days ago. Called last night to confirm and even moved the time up by 15 mins due to the snow. We here we sit...45 mins AFTER they were supposed to pick my son up for work and the dispatcher admits that no one has even picked up the ticket yet. These people should be shut down and like the previous review..the website doesnt want any comments over 35 characters long, then it wont send it and errors. I will NEVER call this cab company again.
I only give one star because there is no lower score...
I attempted to submit this letter to
yellow cab via their comments section this morning. When i attempted to submit, i was advised that there was a 35 character limit... This just capped off yet another poor experience with this sub-par taxi company.
"I used your iphone app this morning to schedule a 6:15am pick-up. This was scheduled over 1 hr prior. i received a call from a cabbie in aurora (over 10 miles away) at 6:10am saying he picked up the call. i asked him how long it would take to get to me and he said that it would be approximately 20 minutes. I told him that that would not work as i needed to be to the train station at 6:30am (hence the 6:15am reservation). I then called the dispatcher and requested an expedited pick-up. At 6:25am no cab had arrived so I called and cancelled as I had no hope of making my appointment. Given this mornings fiasco and numerous past poor experiences, I shall no longer utilize yellow cab in Denver. I will be adding these comments to any and all review sites and blogs that i can find on the subject. Please feel free to contact me if you would like any additional details.
THE WORST CAB COMPANY. I have lived across the country and never seen worse cab service than Yellow Cab of Denver. Every time I have called Yellow Cab they have not shown up. I have had to call them many times each time I need a ride. When I call Yellow Cab on the phone they can NEVER get the address I give them correct. I can only talk so slowly. I give them the address ten times and they still get the address wrong! Amazing! They are outrageously rude on the phone. They do not care about customers and they refuse to even learn ho to spell my name or get my cell number correct even when slowly repeated to them a dozen times. Amazing! They do not care for their customers at all! Do not ride with Yellow Cab!
Worst customer service ever encountered..
I am not one to complain about someone who has to sit on the phone all day and deal with i-rate customers. However, i have never been treated so rudely by the person i WAS going to give my money too before i even gave it to them.
My wife and I both called seperat times to book a cab to come pick us up in the morning and take us to Denver Int. Airport. Both the people on the phone were not only rude, but got pissed off at us that we had even called in the first place. The lady my wife talked to even refused to book her cab for her.
To top it off, i go to their website to write a complaint about the bad Service Rep. and the website doesn't let you leave a comment that is more than 32 characters (thats 32 letters and spaces for those that don't know) long. which is barely enough to say "Poor Customer Service".
My advice to anyone looking to get a cab from Yellow Cab in the Denver area.. you are better off paying for a rental than to deal with those jack wagons.
This is how they bump up their fare. They are thieves.. If I could give Yellow Cab ZERO stars I would. I got a Yellow Cab on 27th & Larimer that was passing by. I needed to got to 9th & Sherman/Lincoln/Broadway. Instead to going to Broadway (the most direct route), my cab driver took the long way around going all the way down Larimer to 14th St. Giving me this look like "sorry I didn't know". BS!! A customer shouldn't be held hostage while the driver is ripping you off. I've left a message with the driver supervisor several times and he's never returned my calls. WONDER WHY. Good thing you're not the only taxi service you jerks. NEVER using you again.
Will cheat you IF they show at all..
I you think being disabled helps- nope, the kiss of death is to list yourself disabled with Yellow Cab, expect to be stranded....repeatedly at night
list that you can not see and every single cabbie takes the wrong way even with gps including address WITH zipcode.... but this matters only during the day....they won't pick you up at night. they won't arrive at night.
so if you expect and are lucky enough to receive service- expect to be cheated.
call their competitors metro and or south central cab 303.333.3333
Confused Company?. I'm rather confused by some information I got from a clerk at Yellow Cab. I asked for the fare cost between two points, and was told that the cost would be between $34-$39. I then asked about their mileage rates, and was told there was a base rate of $2.50 plus $2.25 per mile. Problem is that the distance, per MapQuest, is less then 11 miles, which with even the most rudimentary arithmetic comes out to $24.75, plus the $2.50 base rate, which equals $27.75. How did the clerk arrive at $34-$39???
My Experience. I will only use Yellow. They are the only company who seems to monitor their drivers. I had a horrible situation in a Yellow once where the driver made a move on me late one night. I contacted Yellow Cab and they told me the situation will be taken care of immediately. I promised I would never use them again until I found that same driver working for Union a week later and once again he tried to pull the same crap! When I called to complain, Union did not do a thing! It is absolute crap that if a driver acts up with one company, he can just move on to the next company and keep acting like a fool! I understand that the drivers are contracted and it is really the luck of the draw but I feel a little more protected in a Yellow Cab. I use cabs on a regular basis and I always feel more comfortable in a Yellow Cab late at night then any other taxi service.
