The best reuben sandwich I've ever had

For many years, my parents have been huge fans of The Bagel Deli. Dragging my siblings and I down to Denver to stock up on gefilte fish (did I spell that right?), bagels, lox, cream cheese, Dr. Browns soda, and much more that the deli has to offer.

Now, as an adult living in Denver, I've found a new appreciation for The Bagel Deli. It's on my way home from work, so stopping in for a reuben sandwich & a slice of carrot cake to go is always tempting. Upon walking in the door, you can head left for a to go order or to pick up a dozen bagels at the deli counter. Or, you can head right and be seated in the restaurant half of the building. As with the title of my review, the reuben sandwiches are my favorite. Be warned, on the menu it's close to 10 bucks but it is HUGE! Enough for two people. My boyfriend and I can easily split one and be satisfied. So, at first sight it seems expensive but feeding two people for 10 bucks is quite a deal. There is plenty of parking, but service is a bit slow. Overall, I recommend it.

• Pros: Best Jewish / Kosher deli I've been to. Everything I've tasted has been good.
• Cons: Sometimes it takes a long time to get food or to get a to go order, but it's worth the wait.

The best traditional kosher style Jewish Deli in Denver

The Bagel Deli is the Jewish deli of my youth and has the most autherntic atmosphere of what a true Jewish deli should be for my taste. A corned beef should be brisket, not cheap corned round. The focus is on high quality sandwiches and traditional kosher style home made foods - blintzes, stuffed cabbage, knishes, matzo ball soup, chopped liver, latkes, kasha, etc.. They have some of the best deli sandwiches in the city, with the Ruben sandwich being outstanding. Since it is a true deli, it is not just a restaurant, but also a place to buy deli meats, lox, smoked fish, deli salads, breads, desserts and specialties to take home.

I've been to many a deli in the Denver region, and none of them can compete with the bagel deli. For authentic New York style deli foods, you can't beat it.

You certainly can't beat their reuben. It's big enough to feed two!
