Thanks Brad for the CORRECT information! I work in a Judaica Store (not in CO) but Renee is truly misinformed. OCCASIONALLY you will find a claf (parchment, scroll) already inside the mezuzah case, online. HOWEVER, if you want to insure the claf is truly KOSHER, it's best to buy it from a reputable Judaica Store like this one. There is no way to be sure it's kosher, when you buy it online. Most Jewish people know that the claf doesn't come with the case/cover. Brad is correct- this is no "bait and switch". Many customers will buy the case as a gift, but not the claf. I have been inside this store on a vacation to Denver, and found the Staff very knowlegable and courteous. If people don't know the facts about Judaism, things like this happen. I hope you have better shopping experiences in the future, Renee, and please ask questions! We encourage our customers to ask! Shalom.

review of Boutique Judaica -
You are simply misinformed. Mezuzahs do not come with a scroll, and never have. Your lack of of knowledge, and willgness to leave negative reviews about other people's livelihoods without knowledge of what you review on, is rediculous. The owner probably had no idea you were unaware of the fact that mezuzot do not come with scrolls.
Hardly a "bait a switch".
I have been to Boutique Judaica twice, and found it a perfectly acceptable place to shop...save the uninformed occassional shopper.
Buyer Beware!!.
I am so frustrated with this store I could scream! You never know if you are going to get good customer service or even get any help!
My elderly inlaws were ripped off by the owner during Hanukkah! They went in to purchase my Sons their very first Mezuzahs! They were shown several and purchased two. When the boys opened the box their was no scroll inside the case! That is a Mezuzah! The holiest part with the blessing printed on the scroll. Thing it a mistake they went back in and the owner said that the scroll was separate and would be another $60! When they asked why she sold them an incomplete mezuzah, the response they got was "you didn't ask for the scroll!"
They promptly asked for a refund as they didn't appreciate the nasty attitude or the bate and switch routine and the owner refused!
That is stealing and lying! Shame on you Boutique Judaica! Disgusting!
