HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT Green Chile~ Oh Yeah!. This place has some of the HOTTEST green chile I have ever had! I have to get the half and half (half mild half HOT...but it's still HOT). My husband gets the hot and I've looked over at him and he is sweating! (ha) The queso is great. It's their green chile with a plop of cheese. The chips are stale though. The chile relleno is good and the tamales are ok. The margaritas are too sweet but it is fun to sit at the bar. Sometimes it smells kind of sour though. My husband says "Oh that's just "bar smell". The bartenders are a hoot!

It Sucked. I ordered out today, Chili Relleno and Beef Burrito and after I ate my Relleno, my stomach started gurgling and had to rush to the restroom. We ordered deluxe lunches which looked like they had been reheated in a microwave oven. The lettuce was wilted and soggy. It looked as if someone previously ordered it but then cancelled the order only to put aside for the next order. It was noon and very busy, I thought the meal would take at least 15 minutes to cook, but by the looks of it and time spent waiting (5 min) I feel it was thrown together or already made up. I don't know what happened to this place, but it really sucked. I should have went with my gut feeling and went to Santiago's instead. VERY DISAPPOINTED and will never go there again!

Not good, not good all.. We had dinner here tonight and there was nothing good about it.

The wait staff was unfriendly from the start when we asked to switch from a table with the air blowing right on us.

We ordered drinks and a queso to start, the drinks were fine, beer was beer, but the margarita was mostly sweet and sour mix. The queso arrived and was basically a blob of Velveeta in a bowl of greasy too salty green chili served with what tasted lake discount chips from the bag.

Our entrees were more of the same, and were disappointing at best. I ordered a meal that included tortillas and they arrived barely warm and on a styrofoam plate and were clearly store bought.

Our waitress was too busy propping herself against the bar too check back with us while we looked for water and a simple "how is everything?” She finally came back when our plates were pushed forward and brought us boxes.

All in all, not a good experience at all. We will not go back.

Go to Jack n Grill on Federal and 25th it’s a million times better!

WAS MUCH BETTER BEFORE BB3 AND BB4. AS SOMEONE FROM THE EAST COAST, WHO DOES NOT KNOW MEXICAN FOOD FROM A HOLE IN THE WALL, BREWERY BAR IS THE BEST! GREEN CHILE TO DIE FOR! I LOVE IT! WE DON'T HAVE ANYTHING EVENCLOSE IN CT. BUT, AFTER GOING THERE FOR MANY YEARS, WAY BEFORE 3 AND 4 CAME AROUND, I DO HAVE TO SAY THAT THE PORTIONS ARE GETTING KINDA SKIMPY. I NEVER HAVE THAT WONDERFUL POOL OF EXTRA GREEN CHILE WHEN I AM DONE EATING, THAT I JUST HAVE TO GET ANOTHER TORTILLA TO MOP IT ALL UP! SEEMS TO ME, WHEN THE WHOLE COMPUTER THING CAME AROUND AT BB2, THINGS JUST GOT A LITTLE MORE CORPORATE. WE STILL LOVE YOU BB2, STAFF, FOOD, ETC. WE HAVE OUR THOUGHTS ON WHY THE BIG CHANGE!!!

Best Green Chili, hands down. Whether you like at Hot or mild, the green chili is the best in Denver. Great chips and salsa and Margaritas. The fiesta chicken salad (barely a salad, smothered in Green chili) is one of our favorites. The place has the atmosphere of an outdated sports bar but it has a good energy inside and service is fast and friendly. This is a classic dive bar but with great Mexican food.

Expensive margaritas. The Brewery Bar II was a great place to have our going away party of 15 and a baby. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was great and decently priced. But, we made the mistake of not asking what the price before ordering 5 pitchers of margs. Normally with that many people it's always a better deal to do it that way. When we received our bill of $360, $180 was just for the margaritas. It was $36 for each pitcher! yikes. The waitress said they were so expensive because they're so good, but we all agreed that they are not THAT good. If your looking for some decent Mexican food and plan to go out early (they literally kick you out at 9pm on Saturday nights) then I recommend this place. Their margaritas are not worth the price.

Something Seems Off Here. This used to be my favorite Mexican restaurant in town -- it seemed you could put that famous green chile on just about anything and it would tast great. The last few times I have been to Brewery Bar II, however, they have been off their game. The chile no longer knocks my sox off -- it's just not as hot or tasty anymore. One pitcher of supposedly top-shelve margaritas was so bad, we had to send it back. And, is it just me or have the burritos been shrinking lately? I had to double check to make sure they had not wrapped my burrito in a taco-size tortilla -- I mean this thing was WAY smaller than I remember! What's up BBII? I still love your funky vibe, but a girl's gotta eat, too!

Not sure. I visited the park meadows location so I will move my review over to that one. The menus look the same online so I bet they are similar.

whats all the hype?. After hearing from many people, reading several mags, I finaly went to Brewery bar2 home of the best chili in town. I beg to differ! I ordered a smothered burrito with the hottest chili they had. When my food arrived it looked like watery tomato soup with very little green chilis in it. Spicy? no! I could get more heat from a Taco Bell hot sauce packet. The only thing good about the "green chili" was it had good chunks of pork. If you want real green chili +hot Santiagos(various Denver locations) is still the place to beat. Sorry BB2.

Editorial Review by Citysearch Editors. No-frills southeast Denver bar is known for it's Tex-Mex food--especially green chili and chili rellenos--served with cold beers.
