Woodys' Tavern is worth the trip!. This big red building on East Evans has been a best kept secret for years, in my opinion. The cast and crew of good people and fun staff rock, the place is funky cool, there's a ton of parking (yes I like that) and they play good rock music. Oh yeah, the food- it's very good. No fine dining, just some of the best burgers in the entire city. Try the secret house burger- oh my God. I do get it that most people come here for the pizza though, and how can you go wrong with an all you can pizza bar where they let you try a little of everything? The buffalo chicken pizza might be the best hangover cure in Denver. Oh most important- a full bar with a hot bartender. Try finding that in most pizza joints!

Poor Customer Service. We placed a to-go order via phone. When we got there the had only cooked 1 item from our order and we were asked to wait so that they could fix the mistake. We were given no compensation, even though the mistake was on their part. The inside looked pretty nice though so I may give this place another chance, but for now this was my first impression of Woodys woodfire pizza.

Wonderful Food - Wonderful Management!. I eat at Woody's about once a week. They have the best hamburger around. I also LOVE their casadea (spelling?) and their fried fritters for dessert. Today my husband and I stopped for lunch. The poor waitress was all alone working the whole restaurant. We found out they were having a staff meeting and that is why she was alone. Our food was excellent still but understandably it took longer than usual. We couldn't believe it when we tried to pay for the meal and was told it was FREE. The whole meal was free because the time it took to get to us was longer than usual. These people are fantastic! Not only the best food around but the best management around. Thanks, Woody's!

Awesome staff, awesome food and awesome atmosphere! All in all, AWESOME!. I've been coming here for over a year now, and my husband and his buddies have been coming here for over 6 years. The wait staff are awesome, they remember what drinks you've ordered and are great at suggesting new things; Nikki, Ameka, Abby, u guys rule! The food is wonderful, pizza is great but I go there for the Cajun Chicken Pasta, sooo good! They have pool, they have poker nights twice a month or something like that, they have TONS of tv's around so you can watch your team play, they have a good sized smokers patio. $3 dollar u call its after 10pm on saturdays, you can't go wrong! P.S. Try the Pepperoni rolls! Awesome!

Mediocre food, abysmal service!!!. 2/17/06-9:00pm. Have dined at the location frequently in the past. Will not return to this Woody's location again. Waited 15-20 minutes before tracking-down waitstaff to place our order for drinks and food. Unreasonable waiting for service and drink refills.....1/2 hour for a drink refill in one instance as the waitress (admittedly) was preoccupied "hitting" on a guy at the bar.

best pizza in town. The garlic chicken pesto pie is THE best pizza anywhere. All of the pies are great..the woodfired taste and freshest salad bar in town. You can't go wrong with woody's.

Should Have Ranked Higher. Than some other places....

The pizza is good (in spite of the one negative review - don't know what they were looking for). The crust is very good - the oven baking gives it a great smoky flavor. Their sauces are homemade, and they go beyond the traditional styles of pepperoni and mushrooms. For those worried about authenticity, guess how the first pizza parlor in the US (New York) cooked its pizzas? That's right - they were wood-fired.

The value is great - the buffet includes salad and their own cheese soup.

They have a good selection of beers and drinks specials, too.

The Best Pizza Ever. It's been a year now since we were in Golden and we are still talking about the pizza. Wished we could just fly there for the weekend just to enjoy a pizza.

Hope when we return Woody's will still be going strong.

Authentic? No. Acceptable? Yes.. From all my travels across this great nation, I find it amazing how Denver can be home to so many non-authentic pizza joints. Don't get me wrong, most are tasty in their own right, but being born and raised on authentic "hot-pie", its taken me a few years to find decent pizza joints that serve authentic style pizza. Woody's is not one of them. Best thing about Woody's is the fact that you can get ANY type of pizza you want made fresh. Worst thing about Woody's is the pizza won't taste that great. Acceptable to say the least.

Great place!. The pizza is great!

The atmosphere is great.

The service is ok.

The music is too loud.

But all in all its a Great place to go!!!
