Ring Worm!!!. I decided to join this gym because of the good location to my house and cheap price. I wish I never had!!! After my first time there, ringworm showed up on my knee about a week later and has spread!! It's horrible! I can never be exactly sure I got it from here, but all indicators and logical sense say YES!! I've never had it in my entire life and then it shows up a week later after going....hmmmm...let me say I can never comfortably work out there again knowing ringworm fungus is on the prowl. It has been an awful stress in my life as of lately, and I felt I needed to express.... TO NOT GO HERE, EVER!!!

Dirty and Crowded.
This is the westminster site.
I am a fat person so this completely explains (NOT!) the snotty staff given that they completely look down on anyone that does not have a goddess body. They just act like I am offending their delicate sensibilities and should disappear - never a smile, never a hello, just an attitude of *ugh, eeeeeew*.
The locker rooms and pool area are always just nasty. Covered with hair and dirt on every surface. Corners are packed with filth. The hot pool and hot rooms are not much better. It is nothing to see big clumps of yuck floating in the pool or sitting on the floor.
Every class is overcrowded and the pool is as well. If you are in a hurry you might as well forget this place. You will spend more time waiting for a pool lane, a bike, or to get into a class than you will exercising. If this is all you have to do every day and you don't mind the filth it is probably fine.

Over Crowded spin classes?

I joined Bally specifically to go to spin cycling classes. Almost every time I go the classes are full. You have to show up an hour early to get a bike. I even tried switching the time that I go. I showed up at 4:15 for a 4:30 class and people had tied paper towels(not even real towels!) to all the bikes. I asked the instructor if that meant someone was saving them. She said yes. All the members are continually complaining about the same thing. I guess I'll have to go tie a kleenex to a bike the night before or something. Oh yeah, sometimes you get a bike and it is broken!?
Gym hours. This gym needs to be open early in the weekends
This budget gym trims the fat off its patrons at streamlined facilities..
Most Ballys stick to the basics for their design. Televisions broadcast silently above multiple rows of cardio machines; mirrored walls act as the primary decorative components. But thanks to high-energy television ads and low-impact membership premiums, this national fitness chain has steadily attracted a clientele bent on saving money while losing weight or gaining muscle.
Using fairly standard strength-training equipment and/or racks well-stocked with free weights, the best of the trainers here, who are classified at four different levels, can be as skillful as those found at costlier gyms. For group classes, signature exercise options include Spinning and Powerflex, as well as a number of patented routines inspired by Tae Kwon Do.
BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE, VER UNWELCOMING!!.
I have been going to this Bally in Thornton since 1991. Once working for them for a year. Since working I continue to workout there recieving the rudest treatment! I had to once r emind the GM I am no longer a worker but a paying member and to treat me rudely is not tolereable nor warrented!
Staff rarley says Hello as you walk through the door and to be greeted with a smile ia rare.
Gym is usually clean but takes a while to get a broken machine fixed.
I say, there are many many gyms and would suggest choosing a different chain all together. I would if I had to personally pay for my membership, however it is paid by employer. Once that ends I will be going to a new gym! Hands down. Unless they can become a little more friendlier....to everyone!
