Took my dog to the Saturday Clinic to get looked at after staying up all night with her as she had uncontrollable diarrhea. The wait was long- we got there at 8:30am and weren't seen until about 10:15am. Once we were seen, the process went quickly. Understandably, it was a very busy Saturday so the Vet Technicians weren't able to spend as much time with us as I would have liked (and I'm sure as they would have liked, as well) as I always have a million questions when it comes to my dog's health concerns. The Vet Technician that helped us was Dr. Jeremy C. Sebor. He was friendly and put forth the care that you look for when your pet is sick. I would recommend seeing him. If you do the walk-in clinic, be ready to wait and to deal with a very busy staff. But the price is right when you're on a budget.
Yes I had to wait a little longer but a visit is almost 1/2 the price of my normal visit and it was a no scolding visit they gave me the best option for what I could afford and told me we could try A and if it did not work we could do B later. Nice and clean and modern, everyone was busy but very nice. Very good!
Dont lissen to the bad reviews. I absoutely LOVE this clinic. We are on a budget every month, and they have always worked with us, even when we are now faced with a 800 dollar surgery to keep my string eating kitty alive when other vets would tell us to put him down. They went above and beyond to help both the animals and their humans, including staying open long enough to put our cancer ridden kitty to sleep.
Highly recommended. This is, to my
knowledge, the best low-cost, for-profit veterinary hospital in Denver. Most low-cost clinics are supported partly by donations and have a charitable mission, but Broadview is simply a full service vet hospital with vets who believe that just because you can charge $300 for a neuter, doesn't mean you should.
Not only is it less crowded than most of the non-profit variety, Broadview is also smaller and has a more homey feel. You can actually see the same doctor every time you visit, which may not happen at some of the larger practices in the city. The on-staff doctors can treat most anything, from broken bones to swallowed tennis balls to providing routine care, but they may need to refer you to a specialist for complex needs- for example, dogs with severe food allergies might need to see a veterinary dermatologist.
Highly recommended for the neighborhood vet feel and quality, without the rapidly escalating neighborhood vet prices found most anywhere else
We have been to several not so good veterinarians in our time here in Denver & were not really looking for a low cost alternative when we wandered into Broadview 8 years ago. Gotta say these guys & gals are by far the best Vets we have encountered so far. Doesn't hurt that their prices are also very reasonable.
I had such reservations about moving to CO because my daughter had a lot of trouble finding a caring vet that was affordable! I know God sent me to Broadview. Everyone has been so wonderful. Love Dr. Mills! Met Mallory today so great!
Broadview saved my cat's life. And so
did my friend who took me here to get her help. I went on a walk-in Saturday with a very sick cat, she needed surgury for a very bad infection from being bitten by *something while -she was playing outside.
They took her right to the back, diagnosed her, treated her, gave her antibiotic shots and updated her other vaccinations. They sent her home with pain meds, and it was only 185.00 for everything.
It was definitely a no-frills, no scolding and humane experience for both Kei~Kei and I . She is again happy and healthy thanks to Broadview, their Vets and their Techs.
After taking my pet here for years, I changed vets, and am glad I did. I didnt realize the customer service I had been missing!! I have never had problems with the actual treamtent of my pets, but the wait times are extensive even with appointments. I can hardly ever get through by phone to speak with someone. This office is SO busy, they are losing sight of customer service. I am so frustrated by trying to get through on the phone to ask for documentation for international travel for my dogs, that I am writing this review. *Please hire more staff, or limit your scheduling accordingly, this is rediculous....people cant even call you!
If you want to HELP your pet, DO NOT go there.
We started taking our dog to this clinic two years ago. Reasons: itching, hot spots, ear infections, scratching, biting his skin. smell. For two years several different vets looked at him. Every time we went home with a spray for hot spot and some antibiotics for ear infection. Now two years later of constant visits, apparently my dog has a chronic skin infection that is impossible to cure. They gave me 3 kinds of different antibiotics, thyroid meds, tramadol and steroids. Now my dog does not sleep at all, he is afraid to lay down because his skin is so raw and bloody and covered with scabs. He literally stands on day on his 4 feet. Nothing helps him to calm down.
In two years, not a single vet at that hospital was able to put two and two together to figure out that if the dog gets ear infection every 3 months, itches, scratches and is uncomfortable, there may be something else wrong with him. At the time it all had started my dog was 11, now he is 13. For the past several months those vets started blaming it all on his age. I finally just brought him in and said that I was not to leave the clinic until they help him. They shaved him (finally, two years later) and saw the raw bloody skin and realized in how much pain he has been.
Yes, it is my fault for not changing the hospitals. My friend goes there and for some, unknown to me reason, likes it. Plus, I have paid so much money to them during all these years, that it scared me to start the whole process all over at a new hospital.
Now my dog does not sleep, cries all the time, stands all day long even when he no longer can keep his open and can barely walk. That's the result of neglectful vets at this hospital. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WILL NOT EVER EVER AGAIN!
Embrace Holistic and Traditional Practices.
I looked for a vet that didn't shun holistic and natural care but capable of traditional practice, if necessary. I'm THRILLED to have found Broadview after many years of strictly traditional vets who refuse to acknowledge that holistic practices are effective and often better. They educate customers on but don't push vaccines that may not be necessary. Best of all, they don't push commercial dog foods!
The fact that they are reasonably priced (actually publish fees on their website) was a plus. They even charge one office visit if you bring multiple dogs for routine care (e.g. heartworm tests, Bordetella, rabies, etc.).
